Life As A Spectator music CDs. On its 2006 release, THE RECKONING, the Christian heavy-rock act Pillar offers up another hard-charging set that goes for general spiritual themes rather than blatantly praise-oriented lyrics. Although the Oklahoma-based group adds a little "screamo" edge to the mix, the album largely consists of straightforward, guitar-laden alt-metal, as exemplified by the pummeling opener, "Everything."

Life As A Spectator songs. As part of Collectables' Great Group Series, the Cadillacs are featured on this ten-track budget-priced disc. While their only hit, "Speedoo," released in 1956, is included in the original version, there are equally enjoyable, similar-sounding tracks such as "I Wonder Why," "Gloria," "Wishing Well," "Zoom," and "Speedoo Is Back" that are worth hearing. This is a great disc for the casual listener, but collectors will want to track down The Best of the Cadillacs, released on Rhino in 1990 and including eight extra tracks. ~ Al Campbell
Life As A Spectator album. At the height of the the death metal boom there was not much that could top the selling power and fan loyalty of Cannibal Corpse and Malevolent Creation. Both were and are today still considered top runners of the extreme music game. Formed in 1994 by Phil Fasciana of Malevolent Creation and Rob Barrett of Cannibal Corpse. The debut Everybody Dies was released in 1998 to high acclaim. It has been followed by the now equally successful 2nd album The Only Law is Survial.
