Amartia album
$13.79 Four years following the band's last studio effort (2004's INTO THE NOW), Tesla step up to prove themselves beyond the cliche reformation trend that found many late-80s hard rock and metal acts cashing in on fan nostalgia. FOREVER MORE marks Tesla's first full-length with new ...

| | Motorhead Motorizer CD (2008)
Amartia music CDs
$14.99 The speed-fueled, booze-soaked lifestyle of Motörhead leader Lemmy Kilmister should have separated him from our planet long ago, but here we are marveling at the release of the band's unthinkable 24th album. MOTORIZER is Motörhead, pure and simple. Their rumbling, tar-black motorbike sound is fully intact and uncompromised, with mission statements like the hard-charging, punky "Rock Out" showcasing their knack for a stadium-filling anthem. Lemmy's voice is seasoned to perfection with Virginia tobacco and Tennessee whiskey, ...
| | Black Sabbath Mob Rules CD (1981) Remastered
Amartia songs
$9.85 Black Sabbath had put itself back on track both musically and commercially with the 1980 album HEAVEN AND HELL, as the addition of new vocalist Ronnie James Dio was the shot in the arm Sabbath needed. A follow-up was released one year later, MOB RULES, which follows in the same mega-decibel approach as its predecessor. While it is still a vast improvement over Sabbath's final two albums with Ozzy Osbourne (1976's TECHNICAL ECSTASY and 1978's NEVER SAY DIE), it doesn't exactly match the inspired performances and top compositions featured on HEAVEN AND HELL.
The opening track, "Turn Up the Night," kicks off the album with a jolt of electricity, while other hard rocking highlights include the mid-paced "Voodoo" and the raging title track--the latter would be featured on the soundtrack to the cult animated movie, HEAVY METAL. Another standout was the near eight-minute epic "The Sign of the Southern Cross," which starts as a gentle acoustic composition, before transforming into a classic slice of plodding Sabbath metal. Although Dio had been a major factor in returning Sabbath back from the dead, he would leave the group under less than amicable circumstances after the release of ...
| | Rainbow Difficult To Cure CD (1980) Remastered
Amartia album
$6.85 DIFFICULT TO CURE features Rainbow's third and final vocalist, Joe Lynn Turner, whose prettier image and more subdued vocals lend themselves to this 1981 release. "I Surrender" is the album's featured single and the group's bid at FM success. Richie Blackmore's riffs are less evident and the background vocals and slick production are symbolic of the era. "Spotlight Kid" is a return to rockin' form, and features wonderful interplay between Blackmore and keyboardist Don Airey. The group's transformation from metal to rock is evident in the Billy Squier-sounding "No Release." "Can't Happen Here" expresses the sense of paranoia so common in an increasingly technological world. The drumming by new member Bobby Rondinelli's ...
| | Kiss Crazy Nights CD (1987) Remastered
Amartia CD music
$6.85 Digitally remastered by Joseph M. Palmaccio (Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
Reaching a pop apex not seen since 1980's UNMASKED, Kiss enlisted the production and engineering talents of Ron Nevison (Ozzy Osbourne, Heart) to help the band compete with the light metal faire that existed in 1987. The results are impressive, as the melodic crunch of CRAZY NIGHTS holds up to the band's previous classics.
"Crazy Crazy Nights" is an anthemic single that reached U.K. #4 and was their biggest single there. "Reason To Live" is one of Kiss' more tender ballads featuring standout vocals by Paul Stanley. Using prolific songwriters such as Diane Warren ("Turn On The Night") and Desmond Child ("Bang Bang You", "Reason To Live") to help achieve their goal, Kiss delivers accessible, chart friendly tunes that you can rock to. The record is melodic, with keyboards throughout. CRAZY NIGHTS is proof that Kiss could stay current with the competitive music scene as well as staying true to themselves. There are rockers and ballads that ...
| | Enigma3: Le Roi Est Mort, Vive Le Roi! CD (1996)
Amartia music CDs
$13.05 LE ROI EST MORT, VIVE LE ROI was nominated for a 1998 Grammy Award for Best New Age Album and for Best Recording Package.
On its third album, Enigma reshapes the most interesting aspects of its previous two into a distinctly different atmosphere. ENIGMA3 has tangible Indonesian influences, as did 1994's THE CROSS OF CHANGES; it also smoothly and dramatically incorporates Gregorian chant, which was prominent on Enigma's debut, MCMXC A.D. Unlike those albums, it features significant vocals by Enigma mastermind Michael Cretu. His voice brings tension and emotion to tracks such as "Why!..." and "The Roundabout."
There is an altogether moody, ...
