| | Rodney Carrington Morning Wood CD (2000)
Raunchiest Women Of Comedy CD music
$12.05 Country comedian Rodney Carrington is essentially a good ol' boy version of Pauly Shore, or to make a closer to down-home comparison, a sort of X-rated Minnie Pearl. Which is to say that he may be country, but one rather doubts that he'll ever play the Grand Ole Opry.
Potty-mouthed or not, he's undeniably funny, and he gets off some great comic riffs here, including one about the strange connection between Barney The Purple Dinosaur and sexual arousal in married couples. He also sings (quite well, in a clench-jawed, George Jones-ish way) some filthy self-penned C&W songs, two of which are offered in both live and studio versions. The best of the bunch may be "Pickup Truck," an ode to a vehicle he cherishes because "it won't ...

Raunchiest Women Of Comedy CD music
$8.49 Recorded live at Mark Ridley's Comedy Castle, Royal Oak, Michigan.
Touted as the new Jeff Foxworthy, Southern comic Bill Engvall is taking the comedy world by storm with his down-home humor. HERE'S YOUR SIGN, recorded live before an enthusiastic audience in Royal Oak, Michigan, will be remembered as the album that put Engvall on the map. Airing his views on golf, children and every comedian's favorite subject, stupid people, Engvall ...
| | Lies, Sissies & Fiascoes: The Best Of This American Life CDs (1999)
Raunchiest Women Of Comedy music CDs
$14.79 This two-disc compilation serves as a useful introduction to NPR's "This American Life." Every week, host Ira Glass explores a theme--lies, sissies and fiascoes being but three--through interviews, readings, found tapes, and deeply revealing audio autobiographies. The discs are nominally funny and sad, but the best "This American Life pieces" manage to be both at once.
Highlights include Glass's hilariously awkward recounting of a shopping expedition with an ex-girlfriend, Jack Hitt's screamingly funny tale of a disastrous college production of PETER PAN, the sweet father-daughter bonding of Sarah Vowell's "Shooting Dad," and David Rakoff's reminiscences of playing Freud in a Christmas window at Barneys. Sadly, the collection doesn't include the show's most famous piece, David Sedaris's "Santaland Diaries," or Vowell's brilliant examination of the interpersonal dynamics of mix tapes, ...
| | Rodney Dangerfield No Respect CD (1980)
Raunchiest Women Of Comedy songs
$6.29 The exploits of the man who gets "no respect" from anyone finally gets what he so richly deserves: Rodney Dangerfield has been immortalized on a little plastic disc. It's a good thing, too, as vinyl copies of NO RESPECT are hard to come by. The years may have dulled Dangerfield's celluloid luster and appeal, but this landmark recording is still the epitome of Rodney, recorded when he was loosening up his Borsch Belt bellyaches and eviscerating his audience with his spiciest and choicest one-liners.
You know you're in good hands when an album opens with the line, "No respect at all-when I was a ...

| | Patrick Berrogain's Hot Club Combo CD (2007)
Raunchiest Women Of Comedy album
$17.75 This is Gypsy Jazz for the modern era. With these twelve selections Patrick Berrogain’s Hot Club Combo achieves a perfect balance between the Gypsy and the jazz aspects of the music. Angelo Debarre’s vituosity pulls toward the total Gypsy vibe while Patrick's take on the music, more rooted in the jazz idiom makes for a very compelling and unique sound. Add to this the delightful voice of Rosemary Berrogain, the hard swinging sax of Tripp Sprague, the brilliant playing of accordionist Lou Fanucchi and you get a unique recording. Half of the material is comprised of original compositions by Patrick Berrogain, the other half a tribute to Django Reinhardt (Black and White, Fleur d’ennui...) and the French classics repertoire (La Vie en Rose, Le Danseur de Charleston... ) through refreshing arrangements.Bio :Guitarist, composer and arranger and graduate from the G.I.T Patrick Berrogain first became exposed to the music of Django Reinhardt and the musette repertoire at a young age while growing up in the south of France. It was not until living in San Diego, however, that he formed the Gypsy Jazz group “Hot Club of San Diego” in 98 with fellow expatriate and rhythm guitarist, Alain Cola before forming his Hot Club Combo in 2007.Some of his credits include:2006 Django Fest LA2005 Featured article in Down Beat magazine ...
