Northern Lights album. Country star Jim Reeves delivers 20 gospel favorites on this set, all of which are treated to the artist's characteristic "Nashville sound."
Budget collection of religious songs from the legendary velvet voiced singer from the late 50's/early 60's.
Northern Lights songs. The BLUES CLASSICS box includes material from the blues labels currently under the MCA umbrella, including Decca, Duke, ABC, Peacock, Chess and Vocalion.
Blues Classics is a three-disc box set that attempts to tell the history of the blues over the course of its 72 tracks. In a way, it does offer a good sampler. Drawing from tracks recorded between 1927 and 1969, many major artists are featured: Muddy Wateres, Howlin' Wolf, Roosevelt Sykes, B.B. King, Lonnie Johnson, Lightnin' Hopkins, Bobby Bland, Etta James and John Lee Hooker are all featured, among many others. The catch is, several very, very important figures didn't make the cut -- there's no Robert Johnson, Charley Patton, Magic Sam, etc. -- even it is probably because of legal rights. Furthermore, the selected tracks aren't always the best choices. Neverthless, Blues Classics does contain a lot of excellent performances and, in its own way, offers a good introduction to genre for neophytes, even if it is bound to frustrate collectors. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
Performers include: Furry Lewis, Leroy Carr, Tampa Red, Memphis Minnie, Little Walter, Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson, Peetie Wheatstraw, Lonnie Johnson, Louis Jordan, Dinah Washington, Robert Nighthawk, Jimmy Rogers, Fenton Robinson, Buddy Guy, Bobby "Blue" Bland, Howlin' Wolf, Albert Collins, B.B. King, John Lee Hooker, Etta James.

Northern Lights songs. Throughout 2001 and 2002, the Dressed to Kill label issued a series of reggae compilations under the generic Reggae and Ska Twin Pack banner. These sets bundled together budget-level compilations of two artists and sold them for the price of one. While these quick-and-cheap overviews of the respective artists are a decent way to check out reggae legends, there is just no escaping the fact that they are, well, quick and cheap. You get what you pay for. The packaging is hideous -- each installment is a real eyesore -- and all of these artists have better points of entry available. If ...

Awesome. Lush, Hazy, Downtempo Beats and Synths.... This CD is a very well done set of IDM tracks in the vein of Boards of Canada, Ulrich Schnauss, M83, and the like. Beautifully arranged synths and the familiar head-nodding, trip-hop style beats. The "vocals" are not much more than samples of a female singing small melodies....it's more of an instrumental release. Awesome for sitting back and zoning out.....smoker's rejoice! By bagouser
