Panic! At The Disco's debut album is a genre-busting blend of slick, poppy emo-influence punk, Strokes-like rock, and, well, disco. While the first two genres fit together seamlessly, a blend of all three is a risky proposition usually attempted ... Full Descriptiononly by experienced professionals. Nevertheless, these inspired neophytes score time and again with tracks like the glittering "Camisado," with its sparkling sequencer interlude, and the witty "Lying Is the Most Fun a Girl Can Have Without Taking Her Clothes Off" (the opaqueness of Panic!'s song titles is a large part of their charm). The band's lyrics tumble out in a rush, while their musical ideas are a complex distillation of pop's last 40 years, played with an innocence and enthusiasm as infectious as it is exhilarating.Rolling Stone (No. 986, p.90) - 3.5 stars out of 5 - "...Panic pillage two pop-friendly musical trends--Eighties keyboard nostalgia and angry-boy pop-punk--and create something new." Kerrang (Magazine) (p.67) - Ranked #15 in Kerrang's "20 Greatest Albums of 2006" -- "[A] ridiculously accomplished debut album that overflowed with moments of inspired melodic invention." Mojo (Publisher) (p.112) - 4 stars out of 5 -- "[U]ltra-sharp lyrics and high-velocity mood and tempo switches make listening as exciting as lugeing down an ice chute with blindfolds on." Fever You Can't Sweat Out album
$11.59 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also ...

Fever You Can't Sweat Out CD music
$12.15 Originally released in 2003 and reissued in '05 (shortly before the band's major label debut), Fall Out Boy's first full-length album, TAKE THIS TO YOUR GRAVE, is a remarkably assured initial outing. One of many acts in the early-2000s emo boom, the Illinois ensemble distinguished itself from the pack with tight musicianship and a keen sense of melody. Rather than halfheartedly attempting to cling to its hardcore roots, like some ...

Fever You Can't Sweat Out music CDs
$9.69 For its major-label debut, My Chemical Romance amps up the melodies in transforming its unique hardcore approach to more of a pop-punk style. To say this Jersey quintet subscribes to the half-empty-glass outlook on love and relationships is like saying Johnny Rotten is a slightly irritable chap. Buried amid the abundant sing-along choruses and the tasty, two-guitar attack of fretburners Ray ...

$10.85 Hampered for some time by the implosion of their label Dreamworks, Oklahoma's All-American Rejects finally followed up their self-titled 2002 debut three years later. Happily, MOVE ALONG sounds like almost no time at all had passed between outings. Kicking off with the brash punk-pop of the first single, "Dirty Little Secret" (which features a killer distorted ...

Fever You Can't Sweat Out Music Review Average Rating: (4.6 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Never Looked Better PANIC! At The Disco's CD is my all-time new favorite. From their choice of words and explicit lyrics, you really have to dig deep to see what they're talking about, not what they're just what they're singing about. The vocals and music are unique and I can't help but relate to the abstract lyrics and musics that all seem to fit in simultaneously together.
Usually I only like 3 or 4 of the songs in an album, but there's only one song that I don't like right now, though this music can be hard to get used to.
All in all, this gets a 5 out of 5 no doubt because. They're the new cancer and they've never looked better. Submitted by Mel (Pattaya,Thailand) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 2 of 3 found this helpful.
