Danny Elfman's score for Tim Burton's animated feature incorporates elements of classic musicals like FIDDLER ON THE ROOF and OLIVER!, as well as Gilbert and Sullivan operetta, in keeping with Elfman's habitual cherry picking from any popular musical style from the past millennium that seems to take his fancy. Elfman's arrangements turn on a dime, from the quirky, skeletal-yet-hot 1920s jazz of "Remains of the Day" to the conventional brooding Hollywood soundscapes of "Casting a Spell," aided by the creative vocal talents of an inspired roster of performers, including Burton's wife, Helena Bonham-Carter, Johnny Depp, Albert Finney, and the veteran horror film actor Christopher Lee.

this is my fav soundtrack and it has lots of piano music that i love and some lovely duets. Tim Burton's corpse bride has me hooked and i recomend it for people 7+. it's based on a movie that i saw and loved so for those points i give it a whopping 5 stars!

AWESOME soundrack for an AWESOME movie!!!
The kids really enjoyed this music for their Halloween party. I would also recommend The Nightmare Before Christmas Soundtrack!!!

This soundtrack contains some beautiful tracks, I love them all.
I believe Nightmare before christmas had better songs, but I love the storyline of Corpse Bride. But, I don't like to compare them too much, they are both masterpieces.

While i listen to the music without yet whatching the movieI can sit there and really see the movie it's great how i can somtimes do this but it's usally only with music done mostly with instruments...Tim Burton Your my hero...

Nightmare before Christmas--too much hype.
I'm a bit sick and tired of people comparing Corpse Bride to The Nightmare Before Christmas, in the sense that Nightmare Before Christmas has had so much hype drawn to it in the past few years. Corpse Bride is, in my opinion, every bit as good at the Nightmare Before Christmas, and so is its soundtrack. The piano pieces in this one were amazing. "Tears To Shed" was another personal favorite of mine.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is a bit like the band Nirvana. Good, excellent, but definitely not as wonderful as people make it out to be. I don't think Corpse Bride had a sporting chance to begin with because there were already too many loyalists to its original.
