True troubadours of arena rock and pop-metal, Bon Jovi were not only still standing in the 2000s, they were still releasing albums of original material that packed much of the melodic wallop and anthemic muscle of their efforts from the '80s ... Full Descriptionand early '90s. A case in point is 2005's HAVE A NICE DAY, which finds the band mining a harder rock sound and producing bigger, more sweeping choruses than ever before.
Despite the classic Bon Jovi sound, however, singer Jon Bon Jovi's lyrics are by turns thoughtful (he even conjures the specter of Bob Dylan on "Bells of Freedom," a nod to Dylan's "Chimes of Freedom") and romantic ("Wildflower"). Though the mix doesn't always work, Bon Jovi sounds plenty energized here, and young-at-heart enough to still crank up the volume. HAVE A NICE DAY sports the streamlined rock punch and pop smarts on which the band has built its reputation.

Mature? More like tired & old. Being over 40 doesn't mean you still can't rock.... unless you don't want to. These guys are trying to grab Springsteen's mantle just a little too soon. Hard rock is still good rock, gentlemen. Submitted by Breanna (Sacramento-California) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Doing anything so that people will listen... Getting a record on the airwaves has changed. These guys are pimping themselves out to anyone/everyone just to put the record out. They bent their song writing to fit what they think people want to hear today & they missed badly. Wild Flowers, Novicane, Ring the Bells--weak songs at best. I liked Have a Nice Day when it was called Livin' on a Prayer, or It's my Life, or Undivided. Submitted by Desiree' from NJ (East Orange, NJ) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Great Rock & Roll Let me first say, NO this is NOT another Slippery When Wet, or New Jersey. So, if you are expecting huge sounds and shredding, whaling guitars, go elsewhere. If you ARE looking for some FRESH Rock & Roll, this is it. Some of its catchy, some of it has great lyrics (Last Man Standing and Welcome to Wherever you Are= lyrical genius). If you liked Have a Nice Day or Who says You Cant go Home, try this out, I think you will be pleased, especially with other songs such as "Complicated" and "Story of My life". Minimum of 5 "A list" tracks on this one, and Im pretty picky. Submitted by tpearia (St.Louis, MO, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Have A Nice Day album
$10.39 Bon Jovi finally offers CROSS ROAD, a collection of their best songs plus two recent compositions and a new version of a classic. Fans and first-timers alike will delight in and sing along with this choice blend of hard pop and edgy anthems.
"Someday I'll Be Saturday Night" and "Always" continue the Bon Jovi tradition of gritty love songs and rock poetry. Jon Bon Jovi's coarse yet smoothe vocals reach out and paint images of characters caught in an American scenic painting, "gotta live my life like I ain't got nothin' but this roll of the dice" Jon Bon Jovi claims in ...
| | Bon Jovi 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit CD (1985) Remastered
Have A Nice Day CD music
$8.55 Digitally remastered using 20-bit technology by George Marino (1998, Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
From the first mega-chorus shout of the album-opening "In and Out of Love," it's obvious that 7800 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT marks an evolution from Bon Jovi's debut. The image got bigger and so did the sound. The album went gold, and a year later the band shot to the stratosphere with SLIPPERY WHEN WET.
"The Price of Love" is a tight, well-written rocker categorized by its memorable Bon Jovi hook. "Only Lonely" is perfect pop metal with a great riff and even catchier solo. "Silent Night" is a true power ballad, before the term denoted the mandatory first single from every hair band. "Tokyo Road," the band's homage to far-Eastern pleasures, is a consistent live favorite. "The Hardest Part Is the Night" is a mid-tempo rocker that features a creative solo from Richie Sambora. Tico Torres lets loose on the skins ...

| | Bon Jovi Crush CD (2000)
Have A Nice Day songs
$12.05 CRUSH was nominated for the 2001 Grammy Award for Best Rock Album and "It's My Life" was nominated for Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal.
When Jon Bon Jovi went into the studio to record his band's seventh studio album, he went from budding actor to Jersey rocker to remind the world where his bread-and-butter was. After the initial plan to team up hard-rock production gods Bob Rock and Bruce Fairbairn fell through due to the latter's death, an audition process was set up with alt-rock engineer Luke Ebbin (Splender) winning the job. The choice was a fortuitous one as here Bon Jovi updates its sound with a smattering of loops and impressive arrangements, without losing the pop crunch of its heyday.
Along the way, Bon Jovi tips its collective hat to the teen brigade invading the charts and the glory days of "Livin' On a Prayer" (the talk-box laden, Max Martin co-written single "It's My Life"), while still writing songs about blue-collar characters full of optimism (the Springsteen-flavored "Two Story Town"). CRUSH also contains the requisite power ballads for Bon Jovi's starry-eyed ...
| | VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin CD (2002)
Have A Nice Day album
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously close to a lounge version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," but this minor faux pas is redeemed by the Irish folk medley "Joy of Life/Trout in the Bath" which arguably features more full-on Irishness than the Dublin production of RIVERDANCE. There's also a lovely rendition of Neil Young's "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" that's topped ...
| | Bon Jovi Lost Highway CD (2007)
Have A Nice Day CD music
$10.39 Although the initial reports that LOST HIGHWAY was to be Bon Jovi's "country album" turned out to be somewhat overstated, it does sit comfortably at the meeting ground between commercial rock and commercial country that Garth Brooks started exploring in the early 1990s, and that folks like Big and Rich or Toby Keith mine successfully today.
In fact, Big and Rich ...

| | Katrina L Moss Keep Walking CD (2009)
Have A Nice Day music CDs
$18.25 KATRINA L. MOSS is no stranger to the music industry. Having worked with a plethora of well-known and accomplished musicians, including jazz great Phil Upchurch, Dave Williams, co-writer of the Smokey Robinson hit, "Same Ole Song", jazz pianist John Fluker-who has worked with the likes of Wynton Marsalis and Gladys Knight, among others, Katrina's musicianship holds its' own. From the southern slopes of America to the western plains in Africa, she has endeared audiences with the gift of song. The Arkansas native has even performed & headlined, at the age of sixteen, with her band at the Dallas Convention Center. As well as having written songs for other artists, Katrina L. Moss also is an accomplished author & poet--which is, one might assess, how she has the ability to write songs from an almost miasmic poetic vain, with just the right flavor of a smooth jazz vibe. She has this uncanny Mahalia Jackson/Nina Simone-like vibrato in her voice; (not to mention a similar style of grace.) And her unpretentious graceful approach equals that of her refreshing demeanor. Flipping between her Cleopatra-like ironed out ebony hairstyle, to her splendidly regal(!) let-it-curl wash "n" go woolly-hair coiffure, the lovely Katrina L. Moss rocks her natural mane on & off the stage, with a confidence that shines through; from her soul's reflection right in to her songs. Having been born in small town Arkansas to very loving & socially-conscience parents, and a Philosophy major at UCLA during college, her presence clearly reflects a profound comfort & self-love in knowing who she is, and from whence she came. It comes through in the caressing soul in her voice, which relaxes and enraptures you. Having written every song on the CD-with the exception of one, a cover tune, which she arranged for her own relaxing vocal style, this project compilation certainly validates her among one of the finest singer/songwriters. She presents each song with wonderful ease, with a delivery that will on some songs move you to tears; on others, to joy. Each song affirming why she sings. Every song takes you on a journey, mesmerizes and convicts you. She sometimes even writes metaphorically to juxtapose the message that true faith will lead you to that same place of redemption, if you but trust. There is a sense of depth of spirituality which seems she clearly understands and walks. As Katrina puts it, quote "whatever your question in life, whatever your dilemma, whatever your most remotest of thought, there is a Source to which you can go. This Source outweighs all of man's comprehension, yet holds all of man's thought" unquote. With that being said, I for one have listened, and am moved to hear more and more! She brings one into remembrance, that all will be okay. When asked once who are some of her greatest influences, she simply replied, ...
