Goin' Crazy album
$9.75 After dozens of memorable appearances on reggaeton compilations, Wisin & Yandel protégée Tony Dize makes his full-length debut on this 2008 collection. Over the course of 15 tracks, the Puerto Rican singing star establishes a unique sound that blends the fire and minor-key menace of reggaeton with a more laid-back, soulful groove. A bonus track revisions his hit "Quizas" as a spicy salsa number.
This is an Enhanced CD, which contains both regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.
| | Heather Headley In My Mind CD (2006)
Goin' Crazy CD music
$8.99 More than three years after her debut, THIS IS WHO I AM, R&B vocalist Heather Headley returned with 2006's IN MY MIND, another strong set of passionate tunes that focuses on the vicissitudes of love. A Broadway veteran and Trinidadian native, Headley incorporates little of these influences into her pleasantly straightforward style, with the exception of the dancehall-infused "Rain," featuring Shaggy. Other standout songs include the acoustic-tinged title track, the slow jam "Wait a Minute," and the shuffling "Losing You." Although Headley doesn't break much new ground here, she continues to showcase her emotive vocals in the light of solid R&B/pop tunes, making this an album that will easily appeal to fans of her earlier work.

| | Jimi Hendrix Merry Christmas & Happy New Year (1999)
Goin' Crazy music CDs
$6.49 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year is a wonderful little two-song single to see out the millennium. Experience Hendrix was able to unearth these one-off studio jams and present them in their full glory. The first cut captures Jimi Hendrix and his Band of Gypsies during rehearsal for the famous New Year's Eve 1969 Fillmore concerts that would eventually become Band of Gypsies. A loose medley of "Little Drummer Boy"/"Silent Night"/"Auld Lang Syne," this track clearly illustrates the heavy chemistry between Hendrix and his co-conspirators Buddy Miles and Billy Cox. The second cut, "Three Little Bears," is another one-off jam, this time with the original Jimi Hendrix Experience (Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell), during sessions for Electric Ladyland. It's more on the psychedelic R&B side of things, but nevertheless remains another charming curio from a man who was easily one of the most revolutionary musicians of the century. ~ Matthew Greenwald

| | Sleep's Holy Mountain CD (1993)
Goin' Crazy CD music
$11.79 As the only album to see official release during Sleep's tenure, SLEEP'S HOLY MOUNTAIN epitomized the moment when stoner metallers learned to stop worrying and openly, unapologetically ape Black Sabbath. Not that there's anything wrong with that. With a thudding pace, Ozzy-esque vocals, song titles like "The Druid," and layers of Blue Cheer-like fuzz-wah, guitarist Mike Pike, bassist Al Cisneros, and drummer Chris Hakius gleefully reanimate the corpse of vintage Sabbath throughout the album's nine tracks. While not as revolutionary as its follow-up, DOPESMOKER (released long after the trio broke up), or as high-octane as Pike's later project, High on Fire, the album features monumental riffing and enveloping, bong-friendly production. A highly satisfying, accessible slice of doom metal.
Recorded at Razors Edge, San Francisco, California.
Sleep: Al Cisneros (vocals, bass); Matt Pike (guitar); Chris Hakius (drums).

| | Peasants Out On The Street CD (2003)
Goin' Crazy CD music
$16.45 Written by Pete Cassani, Principle Peasant, 8/8/03. Started out playing guitar in my room stoned out of my mind. Ended up in Boston in the subway playing Dylan covers and songs about whatever was pissing me off. Started The Peasants soon after that. We've been all over New England, with special emphasis on the streets and subways of Boston. We began touring the USA in 1997 when I got some money together and bought a Ford Econoline E150, the mightiest touring vessel on earth. Soon after the first trip we put out this record, Out On The Street. The first song, Frat Boy, predictably got alot of airplay on the college stations. We sold a shitload of CDs. Over the next 2-3 years we toured all over the US, playing with Steve Tyler of Aerosmith, Slim from The Stray Cats and The White Stripes. We did 10 tours in different incarnations with me fronting whatever trio was available. There is a huge group of musicians who've done time on the road with me and I am grateful to all of them. In 2001 friends from NYC hooked me up with a booking agent in Holland and I started going over to Europe. Been over there FIVE times, actually have distribution and fans. Came back after tour #3 and recorded the 12 song "Welcome To My Country." You can buy that too!!! You can reach us at thepeasants.net or call to book a show. (617)571-3111. I hope you buy both the cds. We will not let you down.
| | 50 Cent G-Unit vs Dipset:War Is Declar CD (2007)
$13.85 | | Swayback One Way Ticket (2007) (Import)
Goin' Crazy music CDs
$6.55 Having toured their wild rockin' debut lp (the quest for rock & roll) extensively throughout 2006, swayback established themselves a reputation as one of australia's premier live acts. Returning to the studio early this year, the band enlisted the help of multi-aria winning producer, paul mckercher (powderfinger, augie march, eskimo joe), to create a brand new studio sound. Showing plenty of the cheeky swagger that won the original album so much praise, the new sound, as heard here, is a more considered straight-down-the-line riffage, creating room for all kinds of experimentation.
