2 stars Great Voice - but the songs......
This man is blessed with a great soul voice. So, it´s easy to imagine soulsinging ala Percy Sledge, Otis ans so on. But on the whole CD with exception of a coverversion of Bob Marley´s Waitin in vain, there is no song on an average level. Maybe he should cover more or should contact Producer Jon Tiven to make the great records he surely can.

Vetern soul singer Lou Pride's best album to date. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was listening to but he sure needs to open his ears!! This was by far the best southern soul album of 2005!!

Otis Rush has the home-court advantage on this live set recorded in Chicago, and he had just recently made his first album for Delmark--the great COLD DAY IN HELL--when he played this gig.
