Remarkably, Judy Collins's 1972's COLORS OF THE DAY came out only three years after 1969's RECOLLECTIONS: THE BEST OF JUDY COLLINS and contains no overlapping material with the earlier compilation. If anything, it's an even ...

| | Supertramp - The Story So Far DVD (1983)
El Canto De Las Sirenas music CDs
$16.45 British rock band Supertramp enjoyed a sort of Renaissance when director Paul Thomas Anderson recovered their records from the "Classic Rock" section and put some in his hit film MAGNOLIA. Massively huge in the late 1970's, Supertramp excel at keyboard-centric, full sounding rock. THE STORY SO FAR is a video chronicle of the band's 1983 tour. Not only does it feature their big hit songs "Goodbye Stranger," "Breakfast In America," and "Crime Of The Century," it also documents the music phenomenon that was born in the 1970's -- that of the supergroup.
'70's & '80's arena-rock superstars Supertramp tell their story from each member of the band's persepctive on this DVD, which traces the birth ...

| | Fugazi Instrument CD (1999)
El Canto De Las Sirenas CD music
$9.59 Fans who know Fugazi only from intense, tightly wound post-hardcore like their debut's anthem "Waiting Room" will be astonished by the stylistic breadth of INSTRUMENT. Types of songs never before expected of the band make appearances here, like Ian Makaye's poignant piano ballad, "I'm So Tired," and the minor keyboard funk of "Afterthought." Even the songs that appeared on albums, like "Arpeggiator" and "Pink Frosty," take on new raw life in demo form, as much sketches as songs. As an album, INSTRUMENT does feel like something unfinished, but as an accompaniment to a film that chronicles a restlessly creative band's philosophy and working process, it's a vital ...

| | Billy Band I Just Can't Believe CD (2008)
El Canto De Las Sirenas album
$13.89 BILLY BAND has completed his CD after a five-year journey. It all began with my New Years resolution of 2003. You see I had been writing songs for years and years. I always knew in my heart these tunes were good, real good. Anyway, I just had an overwhelming need to finally take myself out of my little music room and bring these songs out into the real world. I bought myself a new six string and started playing open mics. I did that for two years once sometimes twice a week. I started to measure my songs up against the other musicians and my confidence soared. My next move was to get a professional sounding demo made. Through some musicians, I found my way to Rubberball Productions in North Brunswick N.J. It’s a great analog studio run by owner/engineer Terry Hughes. I explained to Terry I had no band it was just me and my tunes. I wanted to make a demo that would sound like a bunch of people that were playing together forever. Terry said “no problem Bill” after 20 years in this business he had plenty of contacts. He pulled out his little black book of musicians and BILLY BAND was born. It started out with three songs and it is now a done deal with the completion of the twelfth. I don’t know if these songs will ever be heard by a heck of a lot of people without any backing/promotion, but I DO KNOW that this is a quality project . I put my heart and soul into it and it’s a great feeling to complete something that was so important to me. So here ...
