If you liked Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band & Kid Creole & The Coconuts...you'll love this! Yes, it's the inimitable & highly prolific August Darnell in yet another superbly polished guise. Just about every track is a winner, no fill-ins here!

5 stars Highly unique and necessary music!
A wonderful hybrid of 40's Big Band Jazz, post Disco pre Electro Dance music with a R&B base and latin tinges. Necessary for your collection, if only for the lead off track, "Take Me For A Night In New York." Sound remastering is pristine. I only wish that the liner notes were provided in English.

i think the cd is awesome and i was able to see the video for it. it is a shame that this group didnt have more hits. it reminds you of a jazzy 1940s big band song.

This is a collection of NOFX tracks from various compilations, 7"s and EPs, plus a previously unreleased song and dub remix. NOFX are masters of the punk ethic of self-deprecation, and it begs the question if they truly realize the mark they have made on the history of modern hardcore. After 18 years, the band that sums up its musical prowess humbly as "good," releases a staggering collection of B-sides, compilation tracks, and rare cuts (many of which were previously long out-of-print in their original 7" pressings). A cover of the Seymour Simons standard "All Of Me" sets the tone for this collection, and boasts an attitude that really says it all; this band lives for doing things their way. It's easy to see how a song such as "Lazy" could have spawned many of the late-'90s neo-ska bands. MXPX also sneaks in a ska treatment of the song made famous by Metallica, "Last Caress."
