Long Lost Treasure If you liked Dr Buzzard's Original Savannah Band & Kid Creole & The Coconuts...you'll love this! Yes, it's the inimitable & highly prolific August Darnell in yet another superbly polished guise. Just about every track is a winner, no fill-ins here! Highly unique and necessary music! A wonderful hybrid of 40's Big Band Jazz, post Disco pre Electro Dance music with a R&B base and latin tinges. Necessary for your collection, if only for the lead off track, "Take Me For A Night In New York." Sound remastering is pristine. I only wish that the liner notes were provided in English. this is too cool i think the cd is awesome and i was able to see the video for it. it is a shame that this group didnt have more hits. it reminds you of a jazzy 1940s big band song. Submitted by sue (ohio) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo
A Night In New York "Take Me For A Night In New York" What a great tune! Brings back wonderful memories from '84. This song alone is worth the price! Submitted by Steve (Washington, USA) Was This Review Helpful? YesNo

Mindless Self Indulgence's brilliantly named The Frankenstein Girls Will Seem Strangely Sexy collects more of the group's outré, hip-hop-tinged industrial thrash. Singer Urine's bizarre falsetto sounds like a sped-up Jello Biafra, especially on tracks like "Boomin'" ...
$9.79 This is a collection of NOFX tracks from various compilations, 7"s and EPs, plus a previously unreleased song and dub remix.
NOFX are masters of the punk ethic of self-deprecation, and it begs the question if they truly realize the mark they have made on the history of modern hardcore. After 18 years, the band that sums up its musical prowess humbly as "good," releases a staggering collection of B-sides, compilation tracks, and rare cuts (many of which were previously long out-of-print in their original 7" pressings).
A cover of the Seymour Simons standard "All Of Me" sets the tone for this collection, and boasts an attitude that really says it all; this band lives for doing things their way. It's ...
$15.29 Moby's Voodoo Child project has been the repository for various musical ideas he's taken an interest in, usually on a personal level: house early in his career, ambient techno during the mid-'90s, and for 2004's Baby Monkey, what he terms "straightforward electronic dance music." Prompted by a great night out in Glasgow, along with his subsequent wish to make an enjoyable record that wouldn't be scrutinized by fans and critics (who expect something specific from a Moby record), these 12 tracks hark back to his early-'90s genesis as a producer. They also sound nothing like straightforward electronic dance music as it exists in 2004. For Moby, straightforward means ...
