Though not the most prolific of album artists, Kate Bush's works make up in impact what they lack in frequency. Her style and material has always been unique, eccentric even, but HOUNDS OF LOVE is probably the strongest mix of controlled musical experimentation and lyrical expression. It deals with big issues--childhood fantasy and trauma, conflict, sexuality--but rarely lapses into pretension. The intense arrangements are perfectly matched to the subjects: "Running Up That Hill" is climactically erotic, "Cloudbusting" broodingly triumphant, while "The Big Sky" is just big. And it's all her own work.
Digitally remastered edition of Ms. Bush's masterpiece, originally released in 1985. The album was self-produced and primarily recorded on her Fairlight keyboard. Bush weaves intricate tapestries of sound and imagery with songs that span the range of all emotion, from the most intimate to the most frightening. This special edition adds 6 bonus tracks of 12 inch mixes and single b-sides released in conjunction with the album, including "Big Sky (Meterorogical Mix)", "Running Up That Hill (12" Mix)", "Be Kind to My Mistakes", "Under the Ivy", "Burning Bridge" & "My Lagan Love".

There has always been plenty of evidence that the Sadies are tremendous songwriters and a talented backup band, but many fans have had to take on faith their reputation as a great live band. Well, no longer. The two-disc IN CONCERT, VOL. I includes 41 tracks recorded over two nights in the band's hometown of Toronto, and it's about as much fun as a concert album can be. The first disc features Sadies originals, with their own particular mix of country, roots-rock, and surf guitar.
