Killadelphia album
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously close to a lounge version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," but this minor faux pas is redeemed by the Irish folk medley "Joy of Life/Trout in the Bath" which arguably ...

Killadelphia music CDs
$9.35 Following up a successful appearance at Ozzfest 2004, prog-metal outfit Lamb of God released ASHES OF THE WAKE, its major-label debut. Wielding a sound that's crushingly heavy while still maintaining a righteous groove, LOG serves up in-your-face metal that's sure to please fans of Pantera and Slayer.
Frontman Randy Blythe howls with a voice reminiscent of Venom's Kronos, as he rants about finding salvation in vice ("The Faded Line") and organized crime's code of honor ("Omerta"). Fueled by the double-kick-drum ferocity of skin-basher Chris Adler, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler lay down a two-pronged attack that falls somewhere between the pummeling assault of classic American thrash and the more melodic and orchestral complexity of European metal. Anyone doubting Adler and Morton's chops need listen no further than the gnarly instrumental title cut, which finds Lamb of God's axe-wielders forming a musical relay team with ...

Killadelphia songs
$9.69 Metal band Lamb of God may hail from Richmond, Virginia, but their dark brand of melodic thrash pits them squarely in the midst of the European (and mostly Scandinavian) death-metal tradition. KILLADELPHIA captures the band performing live at Philadelphia's Trocadero in October 2004 for 15 tracks of pure metal fury (including six from their major-label debut ASHES OF THE WAKE) as well as behind-the-scenes footage from their world tour. Songs include ...
| | Dredg Catch Without Arms CD (2005)
Killadelphia album
$8.55 Early on, critics often described Dredg as a metal group. However, the quartet has since matured into a hard-edged indie-rock ensemble that seeks diversity and refinement in its music. On CATCH WITHOUT ARMS, the band favors highly orchestrated parts, dense guitar riffs, and powerful drumming. Each song is based around memorable vocal hooks and sensitive lyrical content.
Many tracks on CATCH WITHOUT ARMS have a searching quality to them. Despite the sheer force of the music, this release is ultimately marked by well constructed melodies and intriguing harmonic underpinnings. This is due in part to singer ...

| | Eric Kamen Native Unit CD (2004)
Killadelphia songs
$11.39 Winner of the prestigious Muses Muse 'Best Instrumental CD of Year Award' for 2005, E-Kamen plays more than a dozen instruments from around the world in this ground-breaking critically acclaimed New Age Jazz collection. A "Native Unit" of New York City, E-Kamen was strongly affected by the multiple tragedies of 9-11 and found a need within him to play "Love Songs for the World."The CD is a fusion of contemporary beats and exotic sounds played in a New Age, Jazz style. Eric Kamen, born and raised in New York City, approached music at a young age unveiling a sense of deep trust and profound fascination. "I am self-taught, never took a lesson. I play music as one would talk, no thought involved. It just comes out," explains E.During his school years, Kamen apprenticed as a musician, playing with local bands in the New York music scene. After college, he spent a year traveling around the Mediterranean, expanding his musical horizons to expressive cultural sounds. Influenced by the Flamenco guitar, Greek rembetika, North African percussion and French chanson, the emerging musician added rare distinctiveness to his musical imagination."I played music professionally, from ages 13 to 28 [bands, studio work]. Of course, the exposure to all the other musicians I was hanging around vastly increased my understanding of music theory," E explains. Kamen's personal exploration into all music genres, recording, and engineering propelled his career as a hip-hop and R&B producer. While collaborating with up and coming singers and songwriters is an endearing process for Kamen, his debut solo CD breaks formulaic standards of contemporary popular music.Eric Kamen's debut world fusion CD embodies a unique presence combining modern beats with old world melodies and instruments. Kamen's manifestations as musician, traveler, and producer provide a clear vantage point from which to carry his music to the masses. Native Unit embraces delicate, soulful grooves and signifies deeper messages about the unity of mankind and the universal language of music. E elaborates, "In retrospect, I can see that the beautiful effect of mixing various world music themes actually makes a poignant statement about the sadness of ...

| | Chris Poland Return To Metalopolis Live CD (2007) (Import) Enhanced CD; Finland
Killadelphia CD music
$18.55 Return to Metalopolis was the beginning of Chris Poland’s solo career, after leaving multi-platinum artists, Megadeth, in 1987. The Return To Metalopolis disc has been a cult classic for years, having been reissued several times worldwide. Lion Music is proud to share with you the only known live moments on tape from the short-lived tour in support of this classic release. Recorded live in 1991 at the now defunct Mason Jar in Phoenix, Arizona, Return to Metalopolis Live is a chance for fans to see how this inventive material translated over into a live situation. The recording is as is and would be the beginning of the line-up that progressed into the band, Damn The Machine, who released their self titled disc in 1993 on A&M Records. Listening to Return To Metalopolis Live, shows how Chris’ playing has evolved over the years, but it also shows that even back then he was pushing the boundaries of the guitar, with ...
