Blue Stone is a collaborative project between multi-instrumentalist Bill Walters and producer/programmer Robert Smith (who also makes chillout recordings under the name Bella Sonus). Breathe is their debut as a duo, and the music they make here is pleasantly easy on the ear, with overtones of classical and worldbeat as well as the occasional whiff of a gothic influence. It's not terribly exciting music, but excitement isn't the point: what they're shooting for is "ethereal sonic bliss." The result is, at times, kind of like Enigma without the smarmy, moustache-twirling sexuality; the parallel is especially noticeable when vocalist Darcy starts whispering in her rather poorly pronounced French ("Breathe," "I Am"). Every once in a while the group's attempts at meditative depth end up just sounding depressing, as on the soggy "Only One." But for the most part this is nice stuff, the kind of electronica that will appeal to people who really aren't sure they care for electronica but are looking for something a bit hipper and more exotic than that Debussy best-of they've been listening to over and over. ~ Rick Anderson Breathe Music Review Average Rating: (5 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews Etherial - Mystical This album is wonderful. I do like the song "Only One". I have loved new age music for many years now.
I am also a big "Kitaro" and "Vangelis" fan. Thank you CD Universe for such a nice selection of music. Submitted by Stephany (Naperville, IL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Beautiful Music has to have a particular "something" for me to even consider buying the cd. This cd is so beautiful, I couldn't pass it up. Submitted by shpionka (Richland, WA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
It will put you in a trance! This music is mesmerizing and hard to turn off. If you have this music in your car, you will find yourself going places needlessly just so you can get more of it. Worlds Apart is even better, and Sheyenne Rivers is enough to make you want to live in your car.Unbelievable! Submitted by bhughey (Rancho Mirage, CA, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Ambience in its true form I came across this CD accidently and been hooked with it since then because of its rich vocals and creativity. Like Enigma, Delerium, B-Tribe and Amethystium it soothes and takes you on a journey of unknown dimensions. I love all the tracks especially "Breathe", "Break of Dawn", "The River" and "Falling" , "I am" and "Contact". Its a must have for any fan of New Age music. Smart beautiful music. If you listen to Enigma, you'll like Blue Stone. Their second album " World's Apart" has more vocals and is excellent. I recommend both highly. Looking forward to future releases. Submitted by Tim (Whitby, Ontario, Canada.) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Breathe album
$13.05 This is the debut album from Amethystium which received a groundswell of support from online listeners, to the tune of a half million downloads before its official release. The album is attributed to Oystein Ramfjord, a composer from Norway who makes ambient electronic music full of mystifying sounds. The opening song, "Opaque," begins with an incredible underwater sonar pulse that makes way for passages of Indian ...
| | Amethystium Aphelion CD (2003)
Breathe CD music
$14.45 Aphelion is the point where a planet or any celestial body is furthest from the sun. While this must be pretty dark place, Amethystium breathes light into the shadows. Amethystium is Oystein Ramfjord, a Norwegian composer who shapes elements of electronica and darkwave, evoking classic Tangerine Dream and Kitaro. This is the follow-up album to ODONATA, Ramfjord's acclaimed debut. Voices figure prominently into each song's construction. Often ethereal and wordless, these sound forms give a great depth and haunting quality ...

| | Delerium Nuages Du Monde CD (2006)
Breathe album
$13.25 As fans are well aware, Delerium began their career recording strictly instrumental music in a highly atmospheric, soundscape vein. That musical penchant hasn't changed, but over the years the duo has utilized ever more vocalists to further enhance its sound, culminating in Nuages du Monde. This set boasts seven different female vocalists across its 11 tracks, and a mere two instrumentals. Opera star Isabel Baryakdarian powerfully opens the album with the evocative "Angelicus," her soaring vocals and the number's textured atmospheres a revelation that echoes the song's religious underpinnings. Her "Lumenis," later in the set, is an equal standout, here her delivery pinioned between East and West, further accentuating Nuages du Monde's most haunting track. The equally feted Punjabi singer Kiran Arwuhalia is Baryakdarian's equal, her wondrously keening vocals across "Indoctrination" echoing around the swooping synth. These two performers are of such quality that their light virtually outshines all the rest. Still, Katharine ...

| | Moody Blues Night At Red Rocks With The Colorado Symphony Orchestra: Deluxe Edition. CDs (1993) With DVD
Breathe songs
$32.09 Recorded live at Red Rocks, Denver, Colorado on September 9, 1992.
This deluxe edition features, for the first time, the entire unedited live performance of the concert.
Addditional personnel includes: Larry Baird (arranger, conductor); Bias Boshell, Paul Bliss (keyboards); Gordon Marshall (drums, percussion); The Colorado Symphony Orchestra.
Recorded live at Red Rocks Amphitheater, Denver, Colorado on September 9, 1992. Includes liner notes by Bill DeYoung.
This 1992 live recording represents the closing of a circle. Life for the post-Denny Laine Moodies began with the orchestrated rock of DAYS OF FUTURE PASSED, as prog-rock history was made. 25 years later, with decades of hit albums behind them, the band finds itself once again backed by an orchestra for A NIGHT AT RED ROCKS. With both Mike Pinder and Patrick Moraz long gone, the group is down to a quartet here, augmented by session musicians and the Colorado Symphony Orchestra. The 1969 live recording CAUGHT LIVE proved that the band never needed an orchestra to reproduce its lush sound, but it certainly doesn't hurt. The marriage of the Moodies' progressive pop-rock with the Colorado Symphony's elegant accompaniment seems a natural one. With as many hits as the band had behind them by this time, it's hard for the show to be full of anything else. The twist is that the set is still almost equally divided between ...
