Another overstuffed, middling compilation from the Cleopatra-affiliated Hypnotic label, This Is Progressive Trance crams a couple hours of unmixed tracks and a DVD into one set. Despite the title's indication, the set is far from definitive, and most of the no-name artists appear twice, so there's really not much variety, and most progressive trance fans would prefer to hear the tracks mixed anyway. (Another irritating thing is that some of the artists use the same names as other, more popular producers who have nothing to do with progressive trance.) The DVD, dubbed "an audiovisual mix," was filmed at a club in Las Vegas. ~ Andy Kellman

This Is Progressive Trance Music This Is Progressive Trance Music Review Average Rating: (4 out of 5 stars) Two Discs Of Hi-NRG Instrumental Progressive Trance + DVD! This is hi-nrg progressive trance, mostly instrumental on two cd's. The songs are not mixed and are full length versions, not radio edits. There's also a dvd which is a nice addition to this collection. If you enjoy pop commercial trance (Ian Van Dahl, Lasgo, Cascada, etc.) you probably won't care for this collection. If, however, you like the style of trance DJ Christopher Lawrence plays then this is for you. Submitted by B.C. ("Hallandale Beach,Fl.,USA") Was This Review Helpful? Yes No 1 of 1 found this helpful.
Unexpected Intrumental. In reveiwing the tracks, I was surprised to find out that not a one has any vocals. This is good music for driving and reflecting-because it is "unpolluted" in a world of dance/trance/ambient music that sometimes could do without lyrics. I applaud this entry into the market and found it highly entertaining. Oh yes-it puts a smile on your face during these hum-drum times! Easy to dance to-but you proably won't find it being played in any club-except before the DJ comes on like when you're still fulfilling your 2 drink minimum in anticipation of being taken on trip elsehwere! $10.09 Michael Buble ranks among the best of the contemporary crooners working in a classic pop-vocal style, and his 2007 album, CALL ME IRRESPONSIBLE, further refines his suave, smooth style. With its finger-snapping big band arrangements, the album has its share of homage to Frank and Dino, both ...

This Is Progressive Trance music CDs
$17.49 The Flower Kings' fast rise to the top of the progressive rock community was equal to their recording pace. The two hours of music on Stardust We Are completed a four-album run in a little less than four years. Roine Stolt's creativity seemed without limits, but listening to this two-CD set, one finds a little more filler than usual, mostly in the form of poppier tunes (like "Different People," "Kingdom of Lies," and "Compassion") and short instrumental pieces meant as bridges between more significant songs. ...

This Is Progressive Trance music CDs
$13.49 "One of the most critically acclaimed and successful contemporary singers & songwriters in the U.S. returns with an album chock full o' instantly memorable, lyrically hip pop gems. With equal parts pop, folk, r&b, power pop, and ballads, this is sweet, catchy as heck, heartfelt super duper melodic music, produced so well it sparkles out of your speakers and into your soul." "Simply put, this is Kyle Vincent's best album to date. The arrangements are as fresh as anything on today's pop or alternative radio, while staying true to the classic song structure of which Mr. Vincent is obviously a scholar. While this CD can certainly hang with the likes of John Mayer, David Gray, or Jason Mraz, the production is also reminiscent of Todd Rundgren's best work. Vincent has crafted an album that distinguishes him from the current pack of male singer/songwriters. It is beautifully sparse where needed; huge and dramatic, (and even sexy) where called for. Vincent's vocals have never been stronger and are showcased up front and crystal clear." "Lyrically this is by far Kyle's strongest collection of songwriting. He paints gorgeous lyrical portraits of nature, tackles environmental concerns on several tracks, familial relationships on 2 others, and even the current state of pop radio on another. The title track is as catchy a pop song as you'll ever hear, sporting a seemingly simple lyric that has an intriguing twist that most will not pick up upon first listen. With any kind of push, "Don't You Know" should explode at pop radio."From the official bio: It all began in the melting pot of all melting pots, Berkeley, California. Born to professional hippies and raised by wolves I was bused to school from an early age. Berkeley was the first fully integrated school system in the country. That provided for a wonderful mix of musical and cultural exposure from a young age. I took up the ...
