| | Scorpions Love At First Sting CD (1984)
Sound The Trumpet CD music
$6.49 Although the Scorpions had already achieved fame after 1982's Blackout, Love at First Sting brought them their biggest single of the decade, the slick anthem "Rock You Like a Hurricane," with some greatly underrated songs to back it up. The album opens with the hair-raising "Bad Boys Running Wild" and continues with songs such as the memorable "Big City Nights" and the half-ballad, half-powerhouse rocker "Coming Home." The record also contains what just may be the band's best ballad ever, the tear-jerking "Still Loving You." Considering the fact that it has some of their best-ever singles, Love at First Sting is definitely a must for all fans of the Scorpions. ~ Barry Weber

| | Good Times, Bad Times: 10 Years Of Godsmack CD (2007) With DVD
Sound The Trumpet music CDs
$10.35 Often touted as heirs to the throne vacated by late-1980s/early-'90s metal royalty, Godsmack came up in Salem, Massachusetts with a sound that captured the technical heaviness of Metallica and the moody dynamics of Alice In Chains. GOOD TIMES, BAD TIMES is a fitting retrospective of the band's recorded works, including all of Godsmack's highly successful singles, which propelled the group to the top of the nu-metal heap. This package includes a previously unreleased Led Zeppelin cover (hence the set's title), as well as a companion DVD disc featuring ...

| | Songs By Beebo CD (2006)
Sound The Trumpet album
$8.39 This is BEEBO's first album. All the songs were inspired by his two daughters and some of the things they liked as young silly kids. This is a CD with many story type songs like "A MOOSE'S TALE" and "ONE CAT'S MEOW". Some are quite silly imaginary made up songs and others are loosely based on actual events and life that parents and kids ...
| | Daniel Agust Swallowed A Star CD (2006)
Sound The Trumpet CD music
$13.29 Daníel Agúst first made his name as a singer/songwriter in the electronica/trip-hop-oriented group Gus Gus, who had quite a bit of success in their native Iceland, Agúst writing or co-writing all of the singles that became hits in that country. It might come as somewhat of a surprise, then, that his debut album is not especially electronica-oriented, though it's conscientiously textured and layered. Instead, it leans toward chamber pop, with violin and cello often complementing Agúst's breathily sung, wispy singer/songwriter-like material. As a very rough approximation, at times it sounds like a singer/songwriter such as Nick Drake ...

| | Van Morrison Still On Top: The Greatest Hits CDs (2007) Limited Edition
Sound The Trumpet songs
$24.09 2007 double definitive collection with thirty-seven classic tracks that chronicle Morrison's incredible musical journey to date, all remaining true to his mantra 'it's always been about soul'. These musical milestones are culled from five decades of prolific recording. Among the gems included are 1995's `Days Like This', an alternative version of 1997's `Healing Game' and two already-classics from 2005: `Celtic New Year' and `Stranded'. Still On Top moves seamlessly thru all phases of Morrison's long career that began in the 60s with the hat-trick of `Here Comes The Night', `Gloria' and `Brown-Eyed Girl' and still hits new heights as the years go by. Highlights from the Seventies include `Domino', `Jackie Wilson Said' and `Warm Love'. Among those selected from the Eighties are the romantic ballad `Someone Like You' (utilized for the film 'Bridget Jones's Diary') and the glorious pop standard `Have I Told You Lately?'. Universal
STILL ON TOP: THE GREATEST HITS is a career-spanning anthology of hits by mercurial Irish singer-songwriter Van Morrison. Starting with two key tracks by his Rolling Stones-like 1960s band, ...

| | Lionel Hampton Radio Days, Vol. 18: Basel 1953 CD (2008)
Sound The Trumpet CD music
$10.89 The Swing era was over, but some big bands hung on. Chalk it up to popularity and/or changing with the times, but Lionel Hampton's band endured. Recorded live (originally for radio broadcast) in Switzerland in 1953, the Hampton band was in a wonderful transitional period. While they played hard-swinging, danceable favorites of the Swing era, their repertoire reflected the burgeoning influences of bebop and even rhythm & blues. This band wails throughout, featuring jazz stars-to-be, trumpeters Art Farmer and Clifford Brown, and a lad named Quincy Jones. This is a gem for both big-band fans and jazz historians.
Lionel Hampton: Lionel Hampton; Sonny Parker (vocals); Billy Mackel (guitar); Tony Ortega (flute, saxophone); Clifford Solomon (clarinet, saxophone); Clifford Scott, Oscar Estelle, Gigi Gryce (saxophone); Clifford Brown , Walter Williams (trumpet); ...
| | Pinetop Perkins & Friends CD (2008)
Sound The Trumpet music CDs
$15.19 It's remarkable enough that Pinetop Perkins released PINETOP PERKINS & FRIENDS mere weeks before his 95th birthday, but that the session is full of sensational playing and vital blues spirit is nothing short of miraculous. Perkins's vigor on the 88s defies the years; he sounds like a man half his age as he churns out blues classics such as "Got My Mojo Workin'" and "Sweet Home Chicago." To be sure, Perkins gets assistance from some heavy ...
