FARM is in every respect an equal to Dinosaur, Jr's 2007 comeback, BEYOND: a muscular, melodic monster that stands among the best albums the band has made. Motley Crue may have been the glam metal kings of the '80s. But, for a while at least, Twisted Sister gave them heated competition. As always, frontman Chad Kroeger's gritty voice remains Nickelback's calling card, and his emotive singing carries every tune, most notably the nostalgic "Photograph" and "Far Away," a tender, echo-laden ballad.
