This re-release of Marian McPartland's 1957 collection of jazzy, small group reworkings of ballads, folk tunes, and originals features the pianist and NPR broadcaster in a small group setting. Accompanied by harp and strings, she performs standards like "Love Walked In," "I Remember You," and "Autumn Nocturne," as well as a beautiful, Modern Jazz Quartet-like version of Beethoven's "Fur Elise," and a solo rendition of the traditional "Greensleeves."
