This two-disc set inaugurates a new series on the Thrive label, one that will be guided by progressive house DJ Hernán Cattáneo and will reflect his stated desire to bring together "tracks and remixes that translate to a world stage." House music is, like reggae, a genre built on fine distinctions, so it may not be immediately clear to the average ear what constitutes a provincial versus a cosmopolitan house track, but suffice it to say that the music on both of these discs is likely to appeal to adepts of any nationality or ethnicity. The first disc consists of mellower, deeper grooves while the second is given over to more hard-edged dancefloor material, but both discs do an admirable job of combining danceability with listenability. On the first disc, there are some especially fine moments from Dousk, whose "Florence" weaves a particularly dark and hypnotic spell, and Chris Ilopis, who makes the most of a small number of musical elements on "Dize Moi [Rhythm Code Remix]." Disc two opens powerfully with Bushwacka!'s gloomy but compelling "Beastman," and keeps things on that general track with such borderline aggro fare as "Destiny" by 16 Bit Lolita's and Marco Bailey's "Fatal Attraction [Instrumental Mix]." The two sides of Cattáneo's DJ personality complement each other nicely here; this is an auspicious beginning to his new series. ~ Rick Anderson Renaissance Presents: Sequential Music Hernan Cattaneo Renaissance Presents: Sequential Songs | | Renaissance Presents: Sequential CD DISC 1: |

| Renaissance Presents: Sequential Music Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) Good Progressive Music This is a good completion of progressive beats from Paul Oaken folds disciple Hernan Cattaneo. He sure knows how to work up a beat from start to finish. Buy this CD if you’re a true progressive house fan. Submitted by nuclearfusion_ (Los Angeles CA, USA.) Was This Review Helpful? Only CD I've bought in last year! Give the samples a listen on the website. If you even like one single note you hear, then you'll love the entire 2cd album. I haven't bought an actual CD (only online MP3's) in the last year, this is the BEST music purchase Ive made in a VERY long time.
Good solid dance beats, excellent DJ mix, nothing over the top, nothing weak. Quite possibly the best mix cd I own (and I own about 500 cds). I would easily pay twice what this cd is worth!
Excellent and flawless!

What I heard I put the new release of Hernan Cattaneo: Renaissance- Sequential and over all, I liked what I heard. It sounded like normal Cattaneo music, than track ten of the disc really turned me on. I kept on playing it over and over and danced to it at work!
I do not have time to go into much detail, but I am pleased with Cattaneo's new release. This is enough to recommend it. Enough said, I like it! Submitted by ffwd33 (Ft. Collins, CO, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

$14.79 Rhonda's story is one of God's faithfulness even during difficult times. Her songs are very personal and deal with issues such as abandonment, child death, God's voice, hope to go on, graduation/achievement, marriage and numerous other topics of interest. Rhonda remembers at a very early age visiting her neighbor's house and exchanging the rolls on their player piano pretending to match her fingers with the quickly moving keys! It was that piano that changed Rhonda's life. A few years later the neighbors had to move and offered the piano to her family because they remembered the little girl that was so enamored by it. Rhonda's parents saw immediately that she had a gift because she would hear a melody and then play it back again on the piano. She began piano lessons at the age of 6 and sporadically learned until she was proficient at the keys. The drive within her heart to learn was so strong that it drove her to teach herself as much as she could. Rhonda grew up in the Salem Free Methodist Church Where her mother was the church soloist and her father led the congregational singing and also taught Sunday school. At age 12 her parents decided to separate. This was an extremely difficult time for Rhonda because she was unsure of who she was and needed her Father's reassurance during this developing time in her life. Even though Rhonda longed for her Father's love she learned to live on without it. Or, at least, she thought so. She rebelled and became a little hellion for her mother to handle. At age 15, however, her Grandparents made the way for her to attend youth camp and it was there ...
