One of the greatest Salsa records ever made!
Salsa's first opera was a major work by bandleader and pianist Larry Harlow who along with Henny Alvarez created this extraordinary musical project. Based on Pete Townshend "Tommy" this release put Salsa on the "map" in 1973.
Truly amazing arrangements and playing!
The album featured a who's who in salsa at the time,Celia Cruz here in here debut with the Fania record label,Cheo Feliciano,Adalberto Santiago,Justo Betancourt and many others round off the cast. The songs are simply transcendent and powerful only pet peeve on this remastered release is a lack of player credits and lyrics which were on the original album. Other than that this is a must-have and one of the greatest salsa albums ever produced. Viva Harlow!

Exceptional music.
The music was exceptional and brought back great memories of 'The good old days'. Larry Harlow's music was terrific, as usual, and I enjoyed it very much. Additionally, the quality of the CD was excellent.

Powerful Latin music statement!
This is a fantastic production, executed wonderfully by legendary artists. A must have in your library to reminisce every once in a while.

Incredible memories of the days.
At 19, I was in the Army station at FT Rucker Alabama when I first heard this album. Away from my PR and surrounded by my Boricua brothers and having some good rum. It was and still is an incredible listening experience. A lot less rum now but the music is intense. One of my favorites.
