The Austin band Charalambides plays quietly beautiful, ethereal guitar music under the interweaving layered vocals of singer Christina Carter. "There Is No End" is a slowly revolving, free-form blues, while "Spring" is ushered in by chiming guitar harmonics, and "Dormant Love" is as close as the band gets to a haunting ballad--with the emphasis on haunting.
