In-Grid was named after the famous film star, Ingrid Bergman. She began singing locally in her native Northern Italy and soon got a reputation for her great stage presence and the energy and colour of her voice. Producers Larry Pignagnoli and Marco Soncini invited her to sing on a couple of ideas they were working on in the studio, and the massive "You Promised Me" was born - hitting #1 in Greece, Sweden, Holland, Belgium, Italy, Russia and Top 10 in Australia. The debut album "Rendez-Vous" was a smash in Germany, Europe, South Africa, Australia & the US. The release of her second album "Voila" is heralded by the irresistible single "Mama Mia". An album of Euro dance/pop with some classic pop hooks, this is sure to please old and new fans alike. Voila album
$10.65 Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." Eager to follow up on the platinum-selling success of 2005's MONKEY BUSINESS, Black Eyed Peas have returned with THE E.N.D. (an acronym for "Energy Never Dies"), their third studio effort. Combining Will.I.Am's thumping 808 kick drum-infused beats with production assistance ...

Voila music CDs
$12.19 Composer, arranger, and producer Hector Zazou released a string of relentlessly inventive albums between 1983 and 2008. On the last of these, IN THE HOUSE OF MIRRORS, Zazou collaborated with Swara, an Indian-Uzbeki group who re-envision the classical music of the Middle East and South Asia. As with Zazou's previous projects, consummate craftsmanship and postmodern production techniques ...

| | Daft Punk Discovery CD (2001)
Voila album
$11.29 "Short Circuit" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Pop Instrumental Performance. "One More Time" was nominated for the 2002 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording.
In 1997, this French electro-dance duo made a huge intercontinental splash with its debut album, HOMEWORK, mixing disco, house, funk, techno, and more. While Daft Punk's second recording still focuses on the maximum accessibility that earned its debut such high marks, there's less of an obvious focus on pop hooks. Irony and house beats are the order of the day, and an eclectic thread runs throughout DISCOVERY.
"Digital Love" sounds like the theme to a '70s sitcom as realized by the Buggles. "Nightvision" is a mellow, wordless, Quiet Storm-meets-Eno soundscape, while in an interpolation sure to gain plenty of attention, "Superheroes" marries a Barry Manilow sample to an unrelenting house beat. Ultimately, DISCOVERY is less of a mission statement ...
| | Super Rare Disco, Vol. 1 CD (1997)
Voila CD music
$14.39 As a title, Super Rare Disco was a stretch when this disc was released in 1997, and since then, it has only become more of a stretch. While there are no possible cases against Lyn Collins' "Rock Me Again and Again," Eddie Kendricks' "Date With the Rain," First Choice's "The Player," and the Jimmy Castor Bunch's "It's Just Begin" as dynamite disco singles, none of them have been particularly hard to locate since the mid-'90s. One case where the Robbins label deserves some thanks is the inclusion Four Below Zero's "My Baby's Got E.S.P.," a classic underground single helmed by Patrick Adams (who was also responsible for Inner Life's "Ain't No Mountain High Enough," Musique's "In the Bush," ...
| | 2 Live Crew Move Somethin' CD (1987)
Voila music CDs
$14.05 Nestled between two censorship cases, 2 Live Crew's 1988 sophomore album, MOVE SOMETHIN', did not ignite an uproar like the albums before or after; however, it captures the Miami foursome led by Luke on its ascent to booty juggernaut. While the hip-hop outfit was mostly known for its playfully offensive raps, ...
| | Bush Science Of Things CD (1999) Reissued
Voila songs
$15.29 On THE SCIENCE OF THINGS, Bush manages to provide a link to the sound of the band's previous albums without stagnating in a post-grunge mire of hard-rock cliches. Old-school fans needn't worry, Bush's trademark style is well represented here, as on the grinding, piledriver riffs of "English Fire" and that vaunted, Nirvana-derived loud-soft-loud dynamic shift on the alternately foreboding and explosive "Dead Meat."
There's a distinct musical progression here as well, though. With its looped-sounding drum track, "The Chemicals Between Us" nods to electronica production values. "Letting the Cables Sleep" and "40 Miles From the Sun" are effectively pensive ballads that provide a valuable respite from the band's unrelenting sonic attack, though the songs' underlying ...

| | Terry Thompson That'll Work CD (2006)
Voila album
$10.65 Nashville singer songwriter Terry Thompson has a voice and style that is unique and unforgettable. One minute you are laughing and tapping your foot and the next your filled with emotion. This album is smart and inspiring. You will find yourself listening to this c.d. again and again, each time finding new things to appreciate and enjoy. From the wistful story song "The Stranger" to the hilarious romp of the "Cat's on the Roof"; the light and airy openness of "Flying" to the driving beat of the title cut, and finally to the touching and personal prayer of "Coming Clean", this c.d. is more than a collection of random music, but rather a picture into the soul of a very talented song craftsman. Some comments from listeners: "Just want you to know that I can listen to this cd every day (as I often do) and not tire of it. I don't think I can pick a fav " "Terry's voice he commands as his own beautiful instrument. And it has all the right overtones to unlock the heart to receive the music and message, the way Vince Gill's and Colin Raye's voices do." "The sheer quality of performance and depth of emotion of many of the slower songs were really personally satisfying for me. And I would never normally buy a country and western Album in my life!" "There's none of the pre-processed slickness I think music in general ...
