For their latest CD Lo Mejor de Jonny martinez Y Mas, released Summer of 2006, the group unveils 12 uptempo cumbias, all written or co-written by Jonny. They've got a touch of vallenato, a touch of conjunto, and loads of ritmo y sabor.First single "Para Que Quiero Tus Besos" gets the groove going with a Duo with Eddie Gonzalez and the frenetic accordion solo. The track is already top 3 at several West Texas stations. Released on AMI Records, Lo Mejor de Jonny Martinez y mas also contains 6 rancheras, and two boleros and a slow piece with Eddie. With the Rancheras Jonny returned to his conjunto roots and achieved his most hardcore sound yet. Jonny produced the CD, exercising a degree of creative control unprecedented in his career.
