5 stars the master of new sax technique
bergonzi is a master i like this album a lot he uses overtones and harmonics permutations like no one. i recomend this album a lot. pianist is also excelent.

4 stars An apt title "Tenor of The Times" indeed!
During another generation this cat would be the Clifford Jordan or Booker Ervin of that era.Bergonzi is an ernest capable player who like Ervin and Jordan is well deserving of more attention.He is hard swinging and a convincing balladeer.The main selling point of this disc is Bergonzi s relaxed and to the point phrasing. Amongst all the multitude of jazz this is well worth a listen.
