Death Row's Greatest Hits The Chronicles music CDs
$20.29 Though it only aired for two seasons, the classic 1980s cartoon series HE-MAN AND THE MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE remains a nostalgic favorite of anyone who grew up in the Reagan era. Originally created to sell a line of action figures, the syndicated series transcended its toy tie-in roots with imaginative storytelling, hand-drawn animation, and an adroit blend of action, fantasy, and science-fiction.
The series follows the mythical adventures ...

| | R. Kelly - Trapped In The Closet: Chapters 1-12 DVD (2005)
Death Row's Greatest Hits The Chronicles album
$10.75 Released on the eve of R. Kelly's court date, where he faced some serious charges and a very incriminating videotape, the first five chapters of the Closet Cycle confused, amazed, and delighted his fans. The entirety of the series, including all 12 chapters, is sure to have the same effect. Essentially an R&B soap opera, complete with the sets, lighting, convoluted plotlines, and scandalous secrets of daytime TV, TRAPPED IN THE CLOSET features its star and a cast of characters very literally acting out the actions the song describes. The plot involves numerous infidelities, a homosexual affair, a gun, and--as this is an R. Kelly piece of work--at least one steamy sex scene. The attention to detail is astounding, hilarious, and typical of Kelly, as he describes everything ...

Death Row's Greatest Hits The Chronicles music CDs
$27.95 This collection finds Duke Ellington and his orchestra in and around his birthplace of Washington D.C. from World War Two through the late 1960s. The recordings range from scratchy radio broadcast dates from military shows to grand concert performances at Howard University and even a moving solo selection from the Nixon White House.
The listener is provided with a large swath of Ellington's greatness including rousing performances of Johnny Mercer's "G.I. Jive," "Happy-Go-Lucky Local," and "Take the 'A' Train." Most selections are typically truncated, but the lone epic "(A Tone Parallel to) Harlem" ...
| | Bone Thugs-N-Harmony Creepin On Ah Come Up CD (1994)
Death Row's Greatest Hits The Chronicles songs
$9.79 It's easy to lose track of EPs in the world of hip-hop: the sheer number of studio releases, not to mention mixtapes, remix albums, and compilations, creates something of a market overload. But overlooking this 1994 Bone Thugs-N-Harmony EP would be a mistake. Raw, innovative, surprising, and boasting quality production, CREEPIN ON AH COME UP packs a serious punch, even with only eight tracks. With Eazy-E and DJ Yella helping out with production (Eazy-E also raps on "Foe tha Love of Money"), the tracks are tasty, but it's the superb flows of core members that make this EP a classic.
With so many wanna-bes on the '90s hip-hop scene, it is obvious that some sort of creativity on the part of the masses is lacking. In direct contrast, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, their multi-platinum EP CREEPIN ON AH COME UP and its "Thuggish Ruggish Bone" single, have given rap a new twist with an innovative style of delivery--almost dragging their hardcore rhymes while quickly flippin' their tongues to an off-beat pace.
One of the few rap acts to come out of Cleveland, Ohio, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony were introduced to the industry by Eazy-E, leaving no doubt that their music revolves around gangsta-related topics (typified by "No Surrender"). DJ Uneek contributes tracks that concentrate on slow complex beats and complement Bone's lyrical skills, while Eazy-E and DJ Yella drop in to help add flavor to the production tip. On "Foe Tha Love ...

Death Row's Greatest Hits The Chronicles album
$44.69 In the 1980s Motley Crue established themselves as heavy metal's reigning bad boys. If Elvis Presley's debauchery was merely suggested by his swiveling hips, and Led Zeppelin's was mythologized at teenage basement parties, Motley Crue's wanton excesses were celebrated right out in public for everyone to see. Combining the over-the-top theatrics and pop-savvy instincts of Kiss and Alice Cooper with the gutter-boy sass of the New York Dolls and the Sex Pistols, the Crue forged a new brand of stripped-down, radio-friendly hard rock that came to define the "pop-metal" (or "hair-metal") genre.
RED, WHITE & CRUE collects the band's greatest moments in grand style, including the lean, razor-sharp guitar and vocal hooks of the breakthrough hit "Looks That Kill" and the shout-along chorus of '80s testosterone anthem "Girls, Girls, Girls." The 2005 double-disc set also addresses the Crue's later personnel-change years (excluding any misfires), and presents three songs ("If I Die Tomorrow," "Sick Love Song," and a cover of the Stones' "Street Fighting Man") by the reunited classic lineup of Vince Neil, Mick Mars, Nikki Sixx, and Tommy Lee. With its gleeful decadence and high swagger quotient, RED, WHITE & CRUE is a testament to the enduring appeal of hard living and rock & roll.
Limited edition 2CD + DVD (NTSC/Region 0) pressing features all 37 (explicit) tracks on the US version of the double disc coupled with ...
