| Warrior Soul Music Review Average Rating: (4.8 out of 5 stars) Singing Warrior The title of the CD is perfect because in a ever changing metal scene, Doro is still singing great songs. If you are a Doro fan, what are you waiting for? If you like metal music and would like to hear a female soar, This is the best time and CD!
I believe Doro still has her great vocal range. I love to hear this syren sing and mesmerize me. The band are great but overshadowed by Doro's vocals.
The Songs to listen to are "Thunderspell", "Warrior Soul", "Above The Ashes", and "Haunted Haert". Although I do miss some of the harder songs from her Warlock days, I still love to hear Doro sing one song in complete German "In Liebe Und Freundschaft". I don't know the words without deciphering them, but I love to hear her sing in her native tongue. Submitted by normanac03 (Madison, FL) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
1983-2008 Doro still ROCKS!!! Ever since Warlock released their first album back in 1983, I have been hooked on Doro Pesch. Indeed she has a Warrior Soul, and this CD is just as good and fresh as Warlocks first CD all those years ago. Thunderspell will rock you out of your socks, You Are My Family a tribute to Doro's fans, this song is for us. Above The Ashes a beautiful ballad, Doro can sing anything you want. Well worth the $14.00 you will spend for this CD. What are You Waiting For? Check Her Out!! Submitted by antrut (Seymour, IN) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
Superb Return to Metal This is an awesome return to DORO's 80s style of heavy metal, of course certainly with a modern sound. It's heavy, and passionate...is that even possible with heavy metal?...well it IS, with lovely Doro Pesch on vocals of course it is.

| | Lita Ford - The Complete Video Collection DVD (2003)
Warrior Soul
$11.65 As guitarist in The Runaways Lita Ford provided the perfect foil for the vocal stylings of singer Joan Jett. When the band parted ways, Lita struck out alone with a solo career that saw her scale the charts with hits such as "Kiss Me Deadly," and the Ozzy Osbourne duet "Close My Eyes Forever." This compilation proves that Lita still knows how to tear up a stage, laying waste to male metal guitar slingers everywhere with her punishing riffs and vocal harmonies. A selection of music videos are also included, highlighting the big hair and shoulder pads era of the 80s hard rock scene. Tracks include "Hit ...

| | Lamb Of God - Killadelphia DVD (2005)
Warrior Soul
$9.69 Metal band Lamb of God may hail from Richmond, Virginia, but their dark brand of melodic thrash pits them squarely in the midst of the European (and mostly Scandinavian) death-metal tradition. KILLADELPHIA captures the band performing live at Philadelphia's Trocadero in October 2004 for 15 tracks of pure metal fury (including six from their major-label debut ASHES OF THE WAKE) as well as behind-the-scenes footage from their world tour. Songs include "Laid to Rest," "Bloodletting," "Now You've Got Something to Die For," "Terror and Hubris," "As the ...

| | Merle Haggard Mama Tried/Pride In What I Am CD (2005) Bonus Tracks
Warrior Soul
$13.49 Another installment in Capitol's excellent series of Merle Haggard two-for-one discs, MAMA TRIED/PRIDE IN WHAT I AM presents albums recorded during the country legend's remarkably prolific late-1960s stride. Both records feature wistful tinges of folk, with the former focusing on prison life (a familiar subject for the ex-con), even going so far as to include an admirable cover of Johnny Cash's "Folsom Prison Blues," and the latter offering up tales of wanderlust (the lilting "I Take a Lot of Pride in What I Am") and restlessness (the forlorn "I Can't Hold Myself in Line"). These tunes find the Bakersfield singer/songwriter in fine voice and staying true ...

| | I Crime Get The Knife CD (2007)
Warrior Soul
$10.15 Artist InformationInstrumentationJennie Knaggs: Vocals, Guitar, AccordionAnderson Walworth: Vocals, Guitar, BassCharlie McCutcheon: Drums, VocalsMike Ventimiglia: Bass, KeyboardBiographyI, Crime doesn’t need a lot of hyphens for its sound. This four piece rock combo from Detroit distinguishes itself by careful attention to catchy vocal hooks and songs that develop and build to climaxes. As a whole the music has a timeless quality and is fairly unconnected to any trend in rock; the songwriting team of Anderson Walworth and Jennie Knaggs supply enough raw talent and subtlety to keep the music compelling without resorting to superficial stylistic trappings.Originally a trio formed with drummer Charlie McCutcheon, I, Crime released its first EP “Get the Knife” in 2005. The song “It Ain’t Right” reached number one on Brown University Student Radio, which described it as “Black Sabbath meets the Marvelettes.” It may be more apt to say that if the defiant side of Loretta Lynn had railed on a fuzzed out open E string for catharsis, you might get the spirit of Knaggs on “It Ain’t Right.” Just don’t think that it’s all there is to it; like all the material, this song is going someplace. After two years of gigging and some initial touring, I, Crime added Mike Ventimiglia on bass in 2007. Now a quartet, the band is a little fuller but still tasteful in its sparseness, only occasionally building to full blown intensity. 2009 finds I, Crime busy on the road and in the studio: A vinyl 7-inch release, “Dove Skin Gloves” is set to be released by Woodbridge Records this winter and a full ...
