Well, considering Jimmy Boyd's recording career essentially lasted from 1953 (when he was 12) to 1967, this is quite a best-of. Here are all the youngster's big smash hits, from "Dennis the Menace" with Rosemary Clooney, to his duets with Frankie Laine including, "The Little Boy and the Old Man," "Poor Little Piggy Bank," "Tell Me a Story," and much, much more. Included in the package are the previously unreleased "I'm Glad I'm Not" and, of course, "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" (over 60 million copies sold). For Jimmy Boyd fans, this may not be the be-all and end-all, but there is more than enough here for anyone interested in checking out what the fuss was about in the early '50s (and it was quite a ruckus). ~ Thom Jurek

Brings back a lot of memories from my childhood only problem is there are a few other songs of Jimmy's that are not on the album and I can't find anywhere - but great anyway.

I am 63 years old and the only songs I remember on this CD, as a small girl, are "I saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" and "Tell Me A Story". I had no idea who sang them, but I loved them. "Little Boy/Old Man" is so heartwarming. What a voice Jimmy Boyd was blessed with! This is one of my favorite CD's.
