This first album was a testing ground for Charles Alexander. Alexander wanted to find the categories that he could put all of his future recording to. It Includes original compositions and arrangements of beloved hymns. Ranging from tender and romantic, to haunting and introspective. There is a well-known and anticipated moment during every Charles Alexander Recording when the keyboards discreetly takes the lead to bring out some amazing original sounds.

Alexander Self described his style as break beat jazz; a unique exploration of jazz and progressive rhythm beats with influences ranging from Yemenite to hip hop to disco mixed with music composed of reggae, salsa, blues, Caribbean, smooth jazz, and slow R&B.
