Ann Marie was born and raised in Virginia. She wrote her first song on guitar at the age of 16 and often played at coffee shops in the Washington DC area. At the age of 18 she began to travel. Beginning in Greece, then back to Virginia, then again to Europe, then back to Virginia, then to Hawaii, then to Virginia!you get the point. She's got itchy feet and is always ready for another adventure. Above all she is a lover of nature as it brings her inner peace, and is inspiration for her music. She enjoys her solitude. However, if an activity allows her to be outdoors she pretty much enjoys it and in the company of others. Especially when it involves rock climbing, mountain biking, or scuba diving. Ann Marie started practicing yoga at the age of 16 as well, and began teaching in 1996. She now lives in Truckee, which is in the beautiful mountains of California near Lake Tahoe.
