Day-G-So where do you hail from, what's your hometown?Richmond, VA-What's the one childhood event you enjoy remembering? The first BMX I had, which was a Golden Eagle, got broke down piece for piece and I painted the frame deep burgundy and everything else metallic gold, except the pedals and break cables, but it got boofed on (stolen) 3 months later.-What skill do you bring to the group that'd be considered a "superpower"?I bring writing and production skills to the table combined with vocal and instrumental/arrangement being a plus. I am a business and street savvy MC that makes quiet confidence a standout.-Embarrassing moments if any?I took a ride to Norfolk in 95' with a young lady, on the creep to see"Friday". I had some fresh hiking Timbos with the metal shoestring hooks. On the way to the car, after the movie, the shoestring loop on the right shoe caught the hook on the left shoe and I took a spill in the parking lot.-Whose your favorite music artist or idol?Dre.-What was the ONE special thing that got you into music?I've always been around music. My father sang in a group, I had piano lessons, the chorus, and was at the record store once a week. It took for me to see a movement beyond audio music, to appreciate taking it on as a regiment and future job.-What's in store for the future of Ric'Diamond?Art, business, job creation, and enterprise.Spainz -So where do you hail from, what's your hometown? | | Andre Maranhao ma don YO Primary Reflection CD (2004)
Ill-Logic CD music
$9.49 Primary Reflection - IntroductionWhat you are listening to is what writers might call a rough draft. It is improvisational music in the truest sense of the word. Most musicians craft and struggle and change and correct their music before they are willing to put it on "public display". I chose to forgo all that formality and give you an insight into what my daily music truly sounds like. In that sense it is a primary reflection of my core musical personality on the piano. Music is both a personal expression and a reflection of the universal creative force operative within each one of us. And so, in this sense, it is also a primary reflection of the creative force. I chose from among the more serene, meditative solo piano pieces in my 'collection', so that this one-hour CD would have cohesion and could be readily adapted for use in massage, yoga, or meditative environments. It is my sincere hope that the peace and joy it has brought me through the grace of the infinite will be experienced in like measure within your soul as well. Enjoy! Andre Maranhao - Biography All creatures on this planet communicate in the language of music in one form or another. Most people learn how to communicate linguistically, and are only peripherally acquainted with the language of music, but some people acquire a musical vernacular very early... I began playing when I was three, due to the kindness of my mother, whose idea it was to buy a small spinet piano and plant it directly in the bedroom that my brother and I shared. My father was the generous financier of that and the many lessons that followed. I fell in love with the instrument immediately and was tinkering on it long before I was taking lessons. I didn't completely know it at the time, but I think it drew me in partly because it allowed me to express deep feelings that my youth couldn't articulate. But mostly it just felt good, like swimming underwater does, or like the giddy feeling you get (or used to get!) when riding a roller coaster. I knew at a very early age that the universe granted me a wonderful gift, but it was not until many years later that would have the courage to share it with the general public. I chose not to pursue music in college and instead focused on earning a specialized degree in psychology, philosophy and computer science, which has actually served me quite well. For the next 15 years, I relegated my playing to my own recording ...
