This album was all that I asked for for Christmas and I got it yesterday. I was not disappointed. What a GREAT album. Frankie out did himself on this one. His voice has matured without losing any swing. I loved the arrangements on No Puedo Con Ella and the song with La Secta, Mi Amor Esta Aqui, has a great groove.
One of his best albums yet. I just wish that he would perform sometime in LA so I can hear him live!

Frankie Negron is oviously held to very high standard. This cd does meet Negron standards, but only one or two songs would make it on a "Best of Frankie Negron" Cd. If you can download "No Vuelvo Contigo" and "Amarte a Ti" do it, the rest of the songs are not necessarily worth buy the cd for.

Great album
i just wanna say that this is his best album since "No Me Compares". the production was incredible and it's perfect for a club dj to play. buy the cd, it's worth it.

That Ry Cooder, you've got to keep an eye on him every minute, or he jumps into another cross-cultural collaboration. In the wake of his landmark recordings TALKING TIMBUKTU with Ali Farka Toure and A MEETING BY THE RIVER with V.M. Bhatt comes BUENA VISTA SOCIAL CLUB, essentially a supergroup of traditional Cuban musicians with the addition of international agitator Cooder.
