Born of a family of singers in Mansfield, Ohio, Debra began singing gospel with her brother and 3 sisters. Later, classically trained, she became fascinated with the jazz stylings of singers like Billie Holliday and Sarah Vaughn.

Debra has had extensive professional experience. She has sung backup vocals for Michael Bolton, done a USO tour with Bob Hope, sung a concert of spirituals with the legendary Jester Hairston, performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, done a European tour of Porgy and Bess, and appeared with countless jazz artists.

Her live shows often result in spontaneous standing ovations.

Here backed by a stellar lineup, including jazz piano great Bobby Floyd, enjoy strongly stylized jazz vocalsrooted in deep traditional gospel singing.
