(8 Customer Reviews)
For her second secular album, former Christian pop star Stacie Orrico eases into another enjoyable set of catchy R&B/dance-tinged tunes. While most of the high-profile producers and songwriters from Orrico's previous effort are gone, Dallas Austin co-pens "Dream You," a charmingly mellow tune that allows her dynamic voice to glide over percussive loops and a gentle acoustic-guitar line. The song, not surprisingly, turns out to be one of BEAUTIFUL AWAKENING's finest tracks.
Third album from the teen diva singing sensation. Orrico co-wrote a majority of the album and worked with a variety of top-notch producers, including Dallas Austin, Dwayne Bastiany, Kaygee, 12 tracks Beautiful Awakening Music Beautiful Awakening Music Beautiful Awakening Music Review Purchase Beautiful Awakening CD To buy, Click on price to add to cart | Sleepy Hollow DVD (1999) Widescreen
Beautiful Awakening album
$8.55 In Tim Burton's stylish, creepy retelling of the classic Washington Irving story, SLEEPY HOLLOW, Ichabod Crane (Johnny Depp) is a squeamish, bookish 18th century New York City investigator sent to a small town in lower Westchester county to look into three mysterious decapitations. When the always rational Crane arrives at the little Dutch village, he finds that ...

| | Introducing Joss Stone CD (2007)
Beautiful Awakening CD music
$11.35 British soul-pop singer Joss Stone was originally marketed as the teenage second coming of 1970s soul stars like Betty Everett and Ann Peebles. After two albums in that style (one consisting entirely of obscure soul covers) and a U.S. marketing push including several commercials for the Gap, Stone withdrew for a couple of years. INTRODUCING JOSS STONE, from the title onward, is an attempt to completely reinvent Stone's public persona, from a retro-soul blonde to a hip, happening redhead with her finger directly on ...

Not to be outdone by Britain's storied musical legacy, Canada's hard rock scene staged an invasion of its own. Canucks including Nickelback and Our Lady Peace forged a pipeline into the U.S. market in recent years, and Default follows in the wake of that success. Said bands' influence shines through, especially since Nickelback vocalist/guitarist Chad Kroeger produced Default's early demos and gave an earlier incarnation of the band (known at that time as Fallout) some coveted warm-up slots.
"Wasting My Time" is as chart-worthy a single as could ever be found, brimming with Staind-meets-STP grooves. Rookie vocalist Dallas Smith sings with the conviction and passion ...
| | Guster Keep It Together CD (2003)
Beautiful Awakening album
$9.85 Contains 2 untitled hidden tracks following "I Hope Tomorrow Is Like Today".
Boston-based Guster, who rose to fame the hard way through grass-roots audience-building, survived the jump to the majors with their sunny, low-key pop sound charmingly intact. Their first album of the 21st century, KEEP IT TOGETHER delivers more of the nice-guy-next-door acoustic rock that fans have come to love. As always, the melodic pop framework is set slightly askew by quirky lyrics (if you can get ...
| | Loreena McKennitt Mask And Mirror CD (1994) Import
Beautiful Awakening CD music
$18.99 In "The Dark Night of the Soul," McKennitt sets her voice to a 15th century love poem by St. John of the Cross. The verses were addressed by the mystic to God but could just as well be from one lover to another.

| | Brigitte DeMeyer Something After All CD (2006)
Beautiful Awakening album
$20.25 Brigitte DeMeyer is one of many singer/songwriters working on the edge of the commercial scene in the post-millennium, stylistically somewhere between folk and country. With her potent vocals and country-folk musical palette, DeMeyer has appeal to fans of alternative country (she even covers Steve Earle and Buddy and Julie Miller here) and soulful blues singers like Bonnie Raitt and Toni Price on Something After All. Despite her talent, DeMeyer's dilemma is how to stand out in a crowded field of singer/songwriters who cover similar material in a similar way. One of the nice ...
