its ok I bought this album thinking I was gonna get the same great experience as I got on the 1st one. Personally, I like special occasion, but its something I would borrow from a friend not purchase. My favorite song is rearview, I love it. I just think this album had just a little more whining rather than singing than the 1st one did. In total there's probably only 4 really hot songs on the entire album, I love u bobby, your great live and your 1st album was 2 hot 2 touch, but you came short the 2nd time around. Special Occasion album
$13.05 With THE SOUND OF REVENGE, Chamillionaire's 2005 Universal debut, the Houston-based rapper makes the most of his major-label deal, which includes his own Chamillitary imprint. On SOR, Paul Wall's former collaborator amps up that duo's signature chopped-and-screwed mixtape sound with heavy-duty arrangements that expertly showcase Chamillionaire's deep, husky voice. The introductory title track is marked by machine-gun beats, and establishes the album's fierce, restless mood. But the disc's highlight ...

| | R Kelly Double Up CD (2007)
Special Occasion songs
$9.59 R. Kelly's appealing, staggeringly successful take on hip-hop-infused contemporary R&B has been founded in no small part on his ability to make explicitly sexual subject matter sound as smooth and seductive as an old-school overture from Al Green. DOUBLE UP (2007), Kelly's eighth studio release, finds him taking ever more risque lyrical chances. While tunes like "Double Up" and "Get Dirty" find him in familiar lascivious territory, Kelly also turns to extended metaphors to detail his desire, invoking animals ("The Zoo"), electronic equipment ("Remote Control"), and cosmography ("Sex Planet").
Kelly's topics can seem absurd when examined objectively, but it's hard to argue when the tracks sound so good. The production glimmers with help from top industry wizards like Kanye West, Just Blaze, Swizz Beats, and the Runners. Guest appearances from the likes of Snoop Dogg, Nelly, Ludacris, Kid Rock, and others keep things varied ...
| | Tank Sex Love & Pain CD (2007)
Special Occasion album
$12.05 The third album by R&B loverman Tank offers up more smooth urban contemporary grooves tailor-made for deep, soulful seduction. Tank's upbringing in the church is in ample evidence throughout in his impassioned, gospel-infused delivery, but most of the topics on SEX, LOVE & PAIN wouldn't pass muster with the local Reverend.
The vibe of the album is generally ...

Special Occasion CD music

| | More Specials CD (1980) Remastered; Enhanced CD
Special Occasion songs
$12.49 The Specials' sophomore effort boasts an even greater stylistic diversity than the band's remarkable debut. Though revivalist ska mixed with an early 1980s New Wave energy is still the keynote, as evidenced by the leadoff song, a cover of Prince Buster's "Enjoy Yourself," MORE SPECIALS also delves into cha-cha, cocktail jazz, and more. "Stereotypes," for example, brings together a lounge-ready mix of dub, mariachi, and Ennio Morricone-esque Western themes in a way that presages the post-rock revival of those genres in the '90s.
Other tracks, particularly the upbeat "Hey, Little Rich Girl" (which features sax work by Madness's Lee Thompson) and the old-school R&B-tinged "Sock It to 'Em J.B." (a tongue-in-cheek James Bond tribute), recall the Specials' first album. But it is the curveball, experimental work that is the most striking, especially the trippy dub groove (and nuclear-protest message) of "Man at C&A" and the quirky, space-age bounce of "International Jet Set." Though it's possible that the Specials' stylistic innovation confused ...

| | Billy Joel River Of Dreams CD (1993) Remastered; Enhanced CD
Special Occasion CD music
$6.89 This edition of RIVER OF DREAMS is an Enhanced CD containing both a full audio program as well as video clips for the songs "No Man's Land," "Lullaby (Goodnight, My Angel)" and "The River Of Dreams."
Digitally remastered by Ted Jensen (Sterling Sound, New York, New York).
The song "The River Of Dreams" was nominated for a 1994 Grammy Award as "Record Of The Year."
RIVER OF DREAMS was nominated for a 1994 Grammy Award as "Album Of The Year."
Billy Joel's performance of "The River Of Dreams" was nominated for a 1994 Grammy Award as "Best Pop Vocal Performance, Male."
RIVER OF DREAMS finds Billy Joel once again in the familiar territory that he staked out early on in his long and very successful career: well crafted songs, strong vocals sung with conviction, and thoughtful production, built solidly from the ground up. Joel has always been a stylistic chameleon. He can conjure up '50s doowop or a beautiful Beatlesque melody and then suddenly turn on a dime and come at you with a hard-edged, urgently rocking tale about life, love lost and lessons to be learned.
On "River of Dreams" Billy rocks hard, but with a maturity and insight befitting the grey that flecks his beard. Of course just when you think you know where Billy Joel is going he will always surprise you. "Good Night My Angel' is a beautiful lullaby with a strong classical undercurrent that would make Brahms smile. Other key tracks are "All About Soul," the title cut and the reflective ode "2000 Years".
Recorded at The Boathouse at the Island Boatyard, Shelter Island, New York; Cove City Sound Studios, Glen Cove, New York; The Hit Factory, New York.
