Fisk's most consistent output over the years has taken place in that band, due in no small part to the rapport between the three musicians, and the constant creative inspiration he receives from Gestrin and Foster. Since 2002, they have released two records on the Plunge Records label entitled 'Trainwrecks' and 'Intent'. Fisk has also appeared on recordings with Chris Gestrin (Poor Boy, The Songs of Nick Drake, Songlines Recordings 2005), Gordon Grdina (Grdina Trio, Plunge Records 2003), as well as a number of singer-songwriter records (Jennifer Lauren, One Trick Pony). Fisk's most recent project 'You and yours' sees him teaming up with the brilliant guitarist/producer Aaron Young (Polyjesters, Sillan&Young). Fisk is lined up once again with pianist Chris Gestrin, and the very creative young drummer, Kenton Loewen, fills out the group. Fisk has two sides to his musical personality, his free spirit and search for uncharted territory steers him into spontaneous musical expression, freely improvised transitions and solo forms. At the same time, he has a deep fascination with the art of the song, and considers himself a songwriter. Although his music to date has all been instrumental, his lyrical approach to his composition gives his instrumental interpretations immense song-like qualities. The two sides of Fisk's personality -the improviser and the songwriter- play off each other and in turn give his band mates open territory to express themselves without formal boundary.
