At the begining of 1995, I was working at a local recording studio. In search of new talents, I ran an ad in a local newspaper - "local producer looking for new artists". One of the people who answered that ad was a little more serious than ... Full Descriptionall the others - a songwriter, Luciann Nadeau. We did a five song project together and both quickly realized the potential of our relationship.Two years later, we had written many new songs together and decided to embark on a new recording technique - recording them ourselves - on computer. And so was born STRAY DOG MUSIC PRODUCTIONS. I built the studio at my home specifically for our projects. Stray Dog Music Productions is a recording studio located in Gig Harbor Washington. It is mostly computer based with specific pieces of cutting edge equipment and is capable of producing master quality recordings. I am the engineer /producer and have been playing and recording professionally for over 30 years. I play most of the instruments (guitar, bass, drums, mandolin, flute, dobro, keyboard & vocals and we hire any extra vocalists and musicians as needed. All of our writing and recording is completed in the studio.Luciann does all our marketing. We have placed several songs in Nashville and currently have a song selling on our own website ANewCryForFreedom.com and CD.BABY We have been submitting material to TAXI for six years and have had many songs forwarded. Some of our material is available at www.Broadjam.com and are also set up to stream music through several different avenues.We were given an “Honorable Mention” by Robert K. DANCE, DANCE, DANCE!! D.C. Hathaway has been entertaining ageless audiences from Boston to Nashville and to Las Vegas with his music, talent and versatility since the age of 12. Though raised in a small, central New Hampshire town (Claremont), D.C. was influenced by many artists through the years of various genres such as Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Vince Gill, Chuck Berry, The Doobie Brothers, The Eagles, The Moody Blues and many Christian artists.He formed his first group, “All His Children”, performing throughout New England for Country and Gospel audiences for nearly 3 years. At the age of 16 D.C. made regular appearances on The Twin State Jamboree radio show on WTSV as a member of The Dusters where he occasionally performed with The Baron Of Country Music, Dick Curless. He re-routed his musical talents the next few years towards Rock and Roll and Rhythm and Blues occasionally sharing the stage with his dearest high school friend Carey Rush (see link page). Unlike his fellow high school students that experienced typical summer vacations, D.C. and his band “TRAZ” (formed with his good friend Jerry Donatelli) spent summers on stage opening for oldies performers Gary “U.S.” Bonds, Chuck Berry, The Shirelles, The Cowsills, Danny and The Juniors and Frankie Valle and The Four Seasons. "TRAZ" called the Holiday Inn in White River Jct., Vermont "home" 6 nights a week for 5 years. In 1979 D.C. brought his talents to Boston where he performed not only as a solo artist but also as a bass player and vocalist with his dear friend John Penny and “The John Penny Band” (see link page) along with Robin Right, Liz Boardo and another dear friend...Elvis impersonator Stan Jr. Nashville recording artists JoDee Messina, Blake Shelton, The Judds, Mickey Gilley, Ricky Skaggs, Hank Thompson, Barbara Fairchild, Louise Mandrell, Dave Dudley, Freddy Fender, Penny DeHaven and Ferlin Husky have all shared the stage with D.C. Hathaway and his talents.
