Debut album from the Danish band gets their influences from everywhere, and they also know how to create their own sound with it. The guitarist Flemming C. Lund (Autumn Leaves, Invocator) plays his solo`s very convicing, while the drumbeast Morten Lowe Sorensen (Submission) fires his blastbeast like a madman. The style of The Arcane Order is somewhere between classic trash (mainly because of the riffs) and melodic death metal, but because of the many details, like gentle placed samples & keyboards, The Machinery Of Oblivion sounds very fresh. On top of that the singer Kasper Thomsen growls his lungs out from the start to the finish, but the music still stays catchy in a special way. This is really an album that every (modern) metal fan has to have! Metal Blade. 2006. Machinery Of Oblivion Music Arcane Order Machinery Of Oblivion Songs | 1. | Prologue: The Machinery Of Oblivion |

Machinery Of Oblivion album
$13.65 "Ori Release '96 , Debut & only album from the Rap Metal band featuring Jim Korthe & Todd Deguchi ( bothe currently Third Strike ) . Co-produced by Matt Wallace ( Faith No More, Maroon 5 )"
The 1990s and the 21st century have seen plenty of women singing loud, heavy, forceful, in-your-face rock, but they tend to be concentrated in certain areas of rock. The harder side of alternative rock has been very female-friendly (Lunachicks, Courtney Love, 7 Year Bitch, Babes in Toyland, Soraia, L7, Bikini Kill, among countless others), and goth metal is famous for its abundance of female vocalists. But thrash metal, like death metal, black metal, and metalcore, has remained very male-dominated. Sabina Classen, Holy Moses' lead singer since the early '80s, is a rare example of a female thrash vocalist. Classen's gruff, abrasive, guttural vocals have long thrived on harshness, and that harshness is right at home on Agony of Death. This 2008 release favors a take-no-prisoners approach to thrash; there is some melodic and harmonic nuance at times, but for ...

$14.05 When bad boys mature, they don't necessarily quit being bad boys, but they do become more complex and multi-faceted. They may evolve into the deep-thinking Pedro Almodóvar of All About My Mother, Talk to Her and Bad Education rather than the younger Almodóvar, who had so much fun with screwball dark comedies like What Have I Done to Deserve This and Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down. They may evolve into the Marlon Brando of The Godfather, instead of the punky young Brando of A Streetcar Named Desire. And in death metal, that quest for maturity has given us the nuanced world of melodic death metal -- a world that death metal's stubborn, myopic purists denounce as watered down, but a world in which engaging albums like Above the Weeping World are created. Anyone who doubts that death ...

| | Sabbat Dreamweavers CD (1989) Bonus Tracks
Machinery Of Oblivion album
$12.19 Having instantly established themselves as a force to be reckoned among British-bred thrash bands, the members of Sabbat then set to work squandering their massive potential by trying to kill each other. With their creative relationship already heading south at alarming speed, the band's dual creative forces, vocalist Martin Walkyier and guitarist Andy Sneap, proceeded to butt heads throughout the recording process for Sabbat's second album, Dreamweavers, and it shows. As if to counteract Walkyier's increasingly unpredictable flights of lyrical fancy, thrash purist Sneap ensures that his riffing is even tighter and more precise (though no less inventive) than on the band's first album, but strangely, it also lacks some of the debut's bottom-end punch in the gut. The mood-setting intro, "The Beginning of the End," leads into first track proper, "The Clerical Conspiracy," and it's a corker, showing that Walkyier's utter contempt for organized religion continues to rage unabated. Also unchanged is ...
