Cleveland's masked men, Mushroomhead, doggedly pursue a style that embraces metal guitar riffage, hip-hop sampling, hardcore rhythms, and intense nu-metal vocals (provided here by Waylon, who replaces former lead screamer J. Mann), resulting ... Full Descriptionin a powerful barrage of sound. The bleak lyrics of SAVIOR SORROW are more politically charged than usual, which makes the band seem more grounded than their cartoonish appearance would suggest. meh..... Honestly, without J Mann, I feel this bands gonna sink especially after this train wreck. J. Mann and Jonny Nothing complemented each others singing so perfectly, it was what made this band stand out and the main reason I was into them more than Slipknot. To top things off they also lost Bronson, don't get me wrong I'm sure these guys can still put on a killer show, but this band just sounds really gutted to me now. J. Mann needs to return for these guys to sound like a complete group again. Skinny still punishes the drums though, he's awesome! Submitted by cowboywoody73 (Vancouver,WA,USA) Was This Review Helpful? great cd this is definatly a great cd i was also a little scared that waylon might not b able to fill the role of jmann on their 6th released cd (self-titled, superbuik, remix 2000, m3, xx, xIII, savior sorrow). Yes 6 cds satrting in 1995 but the band formed in 1993 long b4 slipknot so suck on that slipknot u dam copycats. waylon is a great man 2 replace jmann and even tho i think he could have done a lil more of the jmann voice its still new. Great cd look forward to future stuff. Submitted by thesmurf523 (pequannock,Nj,USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

The start of something new... After hearing XX, I thought this band was ok. I was still big on Slipknot a lot more than Mushroomhead, but as I listened to Mushroomhead more, I noticed that their music is not alive just because they have make-up and masks. They actually make music, which makes them in all honesty, better than Slipknot. XIII, later I heard, was better than XX, so I picked it up. I could not believe after listening to a few songs how much these guys had improved from their last album assault. XIII was and still is THE Mushroomhead album. It sounded incredible, it was such a good recording in itself how it was made. The guitars were insane and the vocals were incredibly deep. Every song had the presence it needed to stand on its own. Then, I heard J-Mann and Bronson left the band, for whatever reasons. I had doubts, but the guy who replaced J-Mann, aka Waylon, I heard was better because he could not only scream, but also sing, which was something new. After hearing about the new make-up and masks, I knew it was not going to be the same Mushroomhead at all, but I knew that they would not disappoint... Hopefully... Well, I was a bit let-down from the first time I heard this album, but after a long while, I thought 'Wait a minute. Mushroomhead keeps getting more musically inepth, but that's what they are meant to do!' So congrats on this one, guys. This one in itself is more of a concept album than it is an actual cd, with the titles of the songs going from 'Simple Survival' to 'Embrace The Ending' and 'Damage Done' they speak of how the world is not going to end, it's allready dead and we're to blame. A much more creative lyrical statement throughout the album, not as well-sounding without another guitar but still a good album with a lot more special solos vocally, on Pig Benis's bass, keyboards, and samples. Definetly not the same as before, but still stands on its own. Overall, really good album if you're open minded. Submitted by Jules (Tallahassee, FL, USA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

Savior Sorrow album
$12.05 These wacky Cleveland nu-metal-heads have been wowing Midwest audiences since the early '90s with their masked-men-of-mystery schtick, but XX proves that they're no mere posers. With an intriguing mix of hip-hop, metal, the requisite cookie monster vocals, and most importantly some actual songs (witness "Never Let it Go"), Mushroomhead are set to fill the yawning metal gap currently sparsely inhabited by bands such as Tool.
"Chancre Sore" is blistering metal/hip-hop, while "Before I Die" is festering, synth-laden ...
| | VH1 Presents The Corrs Live In Dublin CD (2002)
Savior Sorrow CD music
$6.39 This audio document of The Corrs' Dublin homecoming concert has pretty much everything fans of Irish pop could wish for, including an appearance from Bono in his earthly incarnation, fresh from an audience with President George W. Bush. It's to the band's credit that the charismatic singer fails to steal the show, despite creditable efforts via an anthemized version of Ryan Adams' beautifully downtempo "When the Stars Go Blue," and a great, leering rendition of Lee Hazlewood and Nancy Sinatra's "Summer Wine."
Somewhat more mysteriously, Rolling Stone Ron Wood also turns up on what sounds dangerously close to a lounge version of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing," but this minor faux pas is redeemed by the Irish folk medley "Joy of Life/Trout in the Bath" which arguably features more ...

Savior Sorrow music CDs
$12.05 Don't let the makeup and masks fool you; while Mushroomhead appear on the surface much like a band of comic book villains, it's obvious that this Ohio octet are serious about their brand of bleak metal. Their previous release, XX, made a quick jump from the indie realm to a major label, and they secure that status with XIII. "Sun Doesn't Rise," "Kill Tomorrow," and "Eternal" feature Pantera-inspired, stop-on-a-dime riffing while "Mother Machine Gun" seems to borrow some swagger from the Cult.

| | Killswitch Engage End Of Heartache CD (2004)
Savior Sorrow songs
$9.99 On Killswitch Engage's previous two albums, the group delivered the sort of passionate speed/thrash rarely heard since RIDE THE LIGHTNING-era Metallica and REIGN IN BLOOD-era Slayer. With THE END OF THE HEARTACHE, which features new singer Howard Jones, the band takes its signature sound to a new, absolutely ferocious level, combining slicing, neo-classical guitar riffs with vocals that alternate between gut-wrenching death-metal grunts ...
| | Mushroomhead Volume 1 DVD (2005)
Savior Sorrow album
$15.59 Mushroomhead were rocking the house--and their signature monster-mask look--long before Slipknot had been conceived of, although this Cleveland-based metal outfit is often described as being influenced by their more well-known colleagues. The eight-piece band formed in 1993, and their 1996 debut SUPERBUCK ...
| | Killswitch Engage As Daylight Dies CD (2006)
Savior Sorrow CD music
$10.65 That Killswitch Engage is able to mix melody with their sonic wallop is one of the band's greatest assets, and a song like "This Is Absolution," which alternates stomping screamo with a soaring singalong anthem, is a case in point. Vocalist Howard Jones can switch from subhuman roars to melodic metal singing in the blink of an eye, and the band, likewise, can drop into various meters, blaze through textured riffs, and create sledgehammer rhythms that thunder ...
| | N2DEEP Golden State CD (1996)
Savior Sorrow music CDs
$7.49 Rappers James Trujillo a.k.a. Jay Tee and Tim Lyon a.k.a. T.L. comprise N2DEEP, the Vallejo, California based rap group that debuted in 1992 with the LP, Back To The Hotel. Back To The Hotel would go on to sell an astonishing nine hundred thousand copies earning N2DEEP a GOLD album certification and a PLATINUM single certification and placing them among the ranks of the hip-hop elite.A sold out world tour followed shortly thereafter with other headliners MC Hammer, DJ Quik, and Tag Team. With fame, fortune and critical acclaim, N2DEEP remained successful and did not receive the all too often seen "backlash" against white and Latino rap artists and one-hit wonders (read: Vanilla Ice, Mellow Man Ace). Instead of becoming jokes in the music business and among hip-hop fans, N2DEEP stood for all that was right about hip-hop music and our culture and became respected for their talent, diversity and their determination to succeed. In 1994, N2DEEP returned with their sophomore release 24-7-365 which brought us a more polished and diverse N2DEEP and spawned the hit singles, Deep N2 The Game and California Hot Tubs. Selling over four hundred thousand copies, 24-7-365 proved that N2DEEP did not fall victim to the "sophomore album curse" and could still deliver hits. After a three-year hiatus from recording, N2DEEP returned to the studio in 1997 to create what is said to be one of their best pieces of work, their third album entitled GOLDEN STATE. Instead of a commercial radio feel, GOLDEN STATE gave us a rougher side of N2DEEP that you could tell from their hard line delivery and subject matter, the members had gone through a lot of changes over the years.1998 and 2000 respectively brought us the fourth and fifth albums from N2DEEP, first The Rumble and then Slightly Pimpish, Mostly Doggish. Both of these albums had the usual pimpin', player, hustler vibe that we came to know and love from N2DEEP but also introduced us to the Latino influenced side of the group (Jay Tee is half Mexican) and earned N2DEEP a whole new ...
