Great last performance from Journey's original Line Up. It is a conceptual album; music wise speaking, it has the same sentimental line along the disc.

3 stars Too sappy for a Journey album
While "Trial By Fire" was a most welcome album, it was unsatisfying. It does have some very strong songs like "When You Love A Woman" and "Message Of Love", but it has far too many Steve Perry ballads.

This cd was such a great surprise. I held off purchasing it because other peoples reviews didn't seem to great. I have listened to this cd everyday since I got. Castles Burning is a great, in fact most of the songs a great. A must have for any Journey/Steve Perry fan.
