A solid 23-track overview of Elvis's secular Christmas songs and a healthy sprinkling of his beloved gospel tunes, ELVIS CHRISTMAS is the only Elvis holiday record one will ever need. Kicking off with his legendary reading of Leiber and Stoller's ... Full Descriptionsassy "Santa Claus Is Back In Town," ELVIS CHRISTMAS has the devotional ("Take My Hand, Precious Lord"), the more earthly kind of devotional (a sexy, bluesy "Merry Christmas Baby"), and, as one must with Elvis, the cheesy ("Here Comes Santa Claus"). The remastered sound here is superb. Elvis Christmas CD music
$7.09 Elvis Presley stars as Pacer Burton, son of a white father (John McIntire) and Native American mother (Dolores del Rio) who finds his loyalties tested in a war of attrition between a fierce Indian tribe, the Kiowas, and a group of racist white settlers on the Texas frontier in 1870. Although his parents attempt to remain outside the fray, his father is eventually killed in an Indian attack on the settlement. A white man, enraged over the Indian attacks, kills Pacer's mother. Shunned by white society after the Indian attacks, Pacer elects to fight on the side of the Kiowas while his brother, Clint (Steve Forrest), stays with the settlers. When Clint rides into the Kiowa camp alone and kills their chief to avenge his father's murder, Pacer fights off the entire tribe to protect his brother, and Clint barely escapes with his life. After Pacer's girl, Roslyn Pierce (Barbara Eden), has tended to Clint's severe wounds, she's unsuccessful in trying to stop him from going off to try to save his brother's life. Presley gives his finest performance as the sensitive ...
| | Elvis Presley Elvis #1 Singles CDs (2006) Boxed Set
Elvis Christmas music CDs
$38.79 This limited edition, numbered deluxe box includes the original 45 rpm artwork for each single and 19" x 24" posters.
The ELVIS #1 SINGLES box set is, among other things, a monument to impracticality and excessive packaging. A nostalgia fetish item par excellence, the box houses 20 of Elvis's best-selling singles as individually packaged CDs, each of which--designed to replicate the original 45--contains the single, its B-side, and the original artwork. This means that listening to the music will require a lot of manual labor: listeners have to remove each individual sleeve, put the disc in the player, listen to its two songs, take the disc out, put it back in the sleeve, then repeat the process. At least it's one less trip to the stereo than when they were on vinyl.
That said, those looking for a regular full-length ...

| | Saraswati 10 Minutes Of Stress Relief CD (2007)
Elvis Christmas songs
$13.69 Set to pleasing nature sounds, this easy-to-follow guided relaxation CD has been designed to give you 10 Minutes of Stress Relief any time you need it, no matter where you are. Some people use this CD to de-stress in the middle of a busy day. Many say it helps them to fall asleep at night. And several people have used it before surgery to remain calm and relaxed.Saraswati is the great devi goddess of wisdom and the arts from Hindu teachings. It is also the spiritual name I received when I became a yoga teacher several years ago. Part of the inspiration for this CD were the many students who commented that they found my voice especially soothing as I guided them through this relaxation process. I like to think that if my voice is pleasing, perhaps it is the divine energy of the goddess Saraswati, storied to have given Lord Brahma his creative powers, coming through my teaching. One of the things I’ve read about Saraswati that I liked most is that although she is the goddess of wisdom, ...
| | Hungarian State Folk Ensemble Hungarian Concerto CD (2007)
Elvis Christmas album
$18.99 The political cataclysm of the nineties had resulted in the emergence of new democ-racies in Central and East Europe. The living memory of the revolution of 1956 had made Hungary a protagonist of such changes. A new Hungarian Republic was born. This signi-ficant historic event fundamentally and quickly reshaped our economic, social and cultural environment. However, the whole world is continuously changing and we are influenced by these changes. In such an ever-changing world, it is difficult to rely on certain values because our approach to tradition, considered beforehand permanent and constant, has also changed. In view of these facts, the conclusion is inevitable that we need to identify and to show the live, affirmable and valuable elements of our tradition; and to identify and to position ourselves in our language and in our world. While conceiving the Hungarian Concerto, the originators were guided by the oeuvre of world-famous composer, ethnomusicologist and pianist Béla Bartók. His spirituality and life-work convincingly prove that tradition and modernity are complementary categories. Knowing our native culture, folk-dances and folk-music, and proceeding from it, we can find our special, modern and topical way of artistic expression, ...
