A solid 23-track overview of Elvis's secular Christmas songs and a healthy sprinkling of his beloved gospel tunes, ELVIS CHRISTMAS is the only Elvis holiday record one will ever need. Kicking off with his legendary reading of Leiber and Stoller's ... Full Descriptionsassy "Santa Claus Is Back In Town," ELVIS CHRISTMAS has the devotional ("Take My Hand, Precious Lord"), the more earthly kind of devotional (a sexy, bluesy "Merry Christmas Baby"), and, as one must with Elvis, the cheesy ("Here Comes Santa Claus"). Elvis Christmas album
$7.09 Elvis Presley stars as Pacer Burton, son of a white father (John McIntire) and Native American mother (Dolores del Rio) who finds his loyalties tested in a war of attrition between a fierce Indian tribe, the Kiowas, and a group of racist white settlers on the Texas frontier in 1870. Although his parents attempt to remain outside the fray, his father is eventually killed in an Indian attack on the settlement. A white man, enraged over the Indian attacks, kills Pacer's mother. Shunned by white society after the Indian attacks, Pacer elects to fight on the side of the Kiowas while his brother, Clint (Steve Forrest), stays with the settlers. When Clint rides into the Kiowa camp alone and kills their chief to avenge his father's murder, Pacer fights off the entire tribe to protect his brother, and Clint barely escapes with his life. After Pacer's girl, Roslyn Pierce (Barbara Eden), has tended to Clint's severe wounds, she's unsuccessful in trying to stop him from ...

Elvis Christmas CD music
$9.25 This was Elvis Presley's second album release--but only his first TRUE album, as his debut consisted of the Sun sessions. This album is a blueprint for Elvis's musical career--he would go, in varying degrees, on the paths he set upon here. Out-and-out rockers ("Rip It Up," "Long Tall Sally"), country ("How's the World Treating You"), pop ("Don't Be Cruel"), mushy ballads ("Old Shep"), earthy rhythm & blues ("Too Much," "Hound Dog"), along with southern gospel, made up the sort of material Elvis would do all his life. He sings with authority and insolent swagger on the rockers (listen to the angst-ridden, manic "Paralyzed") and heartfelt ...

Elvis Christmas music CDs
$9.25 This 2005 reissue of LOVING YOU includes 8 extra tracks. This is the soundtrack to Elvis's second movie.
Elvis Presley's first film, LOVE ME TENDER, included music as an afterthought, but music was the priority in his next, LOVING YOU. Four of the seven songs were hits, while "Mean Woman Blues" has been recorded by Jerry Lee Lewis, Roy Orbison and many others. "(Let's Have A) Party" at 90 seconds is the shortest single ever to make the charts, a peculiar achievement as Elvis has an additional verse in the film. Fans used to send Elvis Presley teddy bears, hence the song of the same name. Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller wrote one of their finest ballads with "Loving You," a song comparable to Cole Porter's "True Love" which, in turn, completed this 8-track, 10-inch album. In the USA, the album was issued in 12-inch format and the four additional tracks, including "Blueberry Hill," were released on an EP in the UK.

| Elvis Presley Elvis #1 Singles CDs (2006) Boxed Set
Elvis Christmas songs
$46.89 This limited edition, numbered deluxe box includes the original 45 rpm artwork for each single and 19" x 24" posters.
The ELVIS #1 SINGLES box set is, among other things, a monument to impracticality and excessive packaging. A nostalgia fetish item par excellence, the box houses 20 of Elvis's best-selling singles as individually packaged CDs, each of which--designed to replicate the original 45--contains the single, its B-side, and the original artwork. This means that listening to the music will require a lot of manual labor: listeners have to remove each individual sleeve, put the disc in the player, listen to its two songs, take the disc out, put it back in the sleeve, then repeat the process. At least it's one less trip to the stereo than when they were on vinyl.
That said, those looking for a regular full-length hits collection should not turn here. This item is strictly for collectors and Elvis buffs--those whose 45s are scratched and unplayable, or who were never able to procure their favorites. Superb remastered sound and a booklet with complete discography information are the icing on the cake, but the fact that ...
| | Elvis Presley Elvis: Inspirational CD (2006) Remastered
Elvis Christmas album
$9.25 In early 2006, RCA/Sony released three Elvis Presley compilations, each one focusing on a different aspect of the King's catalog. This installment, featuring tracks recorded between 1960 and '76, finds Presley, as the title would suggest, in an inspirational mode. While not expressly gospel, the collection stills offers up songs of hope and faith. Elvis ably takes on classics such as "Amazing Grace" and "Danny Boy," and also shines on ...
