With THORNOGRAPHY, Cradle Of Filth conjures up enough stylistic curveballs to keep devotees of the provocative black metal outfit guessing. Producer Rob Caggiano deepens his relationship with the Filth, after skillfully helming 2004's NYMPHETAMINE. Dani Filth and company notch back the orchestral touches prevalent on CoF's recent works opting for a less sonically dense but no less heavy album. Amidst the requisite thrashy brutality, HIM vocalist Ville Valo and newcomer chanteuse Harry guest-spot, creating some of the most interesting and melodic moments.

Entertainment Weekly (p.81) - "[The album] ends with an unlikely but excellent cover of 'Temptation,' by New Romantic soulsters Heaven 17." -- Grade: B- Kerrang (Magazine) (p.46) - "Their music has always had an air of the surreal to it, filled with blackened over-the-top pomp that makes their take on black metal truly fantastic..." Cradle Of Filth Thornography Songs Thornography Music Review Average Rating: (3.8 out of 5 stars) List All Reviews How the mighty have fallen... I used to think COF were immortal. Well, not literally, but they had a way with compsition that never failed, not even once. From Principle of Evil Made Flesh to Midian they were Vampyric metal gods. Then they began to stutter a little bit with the offering of Bitter Suites to Succubi, and kind of fell a little with Damnation and a Day, but hit what I thought was nearly rock bottom with Nymphetamine. Well, I was wrong about that one. Thornography naturally hit even more of a rock bottom than Nymphetamine did. From 1996-2004 COF were my absolute favourite band, and I had complete faith in them and everything they did. Back then, Dani's word saying it was going to be good actually meant something, because they had delivered consistently so many times in the past when he said that. Now, the dark energy that animated the old releases is gone, and not even a trace of it remains. The graven and dramatic atmosphere I felt listening to The Principle of Evil Made Flesh is non-existant. The dark mysticism that I felt listening to V Empire or Dusk and Her Embrace has vanished. The gothic romanticism and vampyrism of Cruelty and the Beast no longer has the integrity and passion put behind it here. Dani's lyrics have gone from telling dark romantic stories in a masterful and poetic way to talking about porn and candy stores. The music does not reach down into my soul and invoke all that is darkness within it anymore. It is sad to me to see the former masters falter in such a horrible way, to where I went from wishing they'd never stop putting out music to wishing they'd just stop tarnishing their formerly illustrious career and call it a day. Best or Bestest You Decide. This cd like many others have come before us from Cradle Of Filth.
The newest, which being Thornography, brings us hard, straight up metal in your ass. but it also has a twist of one or two covers, especially in Temptation. This Album, is to tell all of you, that Cradle Of Filth, is not going anywhere and they are on tour as we speak. so prepare for ultimate brutal metal when they hit your local town. Mixed feelings I know alot of Cradle fans were thrown of by this one, but I kind of enjoy, even though old COF was better this has some pretty good qualitys that still keep in in the game. Like the great female vocals on the song Temptation. Check this out you might like it, you might not. Submitted by srbrucker (kcmo) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No

| | System Of A Down Steal This Album CD (2002) Edited
Thornography music CDs
$7.69 STEAL THIS ALBUM contains outtakes and previously unreleased tracks.
Even considering the enormous popularity of nu-metal in the late '90s and early '00s, the initial mass commercial acceptance of System Of A Down was pretty surprising. On STEAL THIS ALBUM! the wildly eclectic group continues to push the envelope by even more aggressively fusing brutal, razor-sharp thrash metal with a distinctly Eastern European folk-inspired melodic sense and bizarrely humorous/politically incisive lyrics worthy of Frank Zappa or Jello Biafra. To top it all off, the songs rarely have traditional verse/chorus structures or much in the way of identifiable refrains.
Amazingly, however, most of the music manages to be both intensely catchy and far more memorable than virtually anything by Korn, Slipknot, Mudvayne, or any of System Of A Down's other genre-mates. In fact, System Of A Down has less in common with these groups than with ...

Thornography CD music
$9.35 Candygram For Mongo began in late 2005 when Tony Shea, vocals, and Gary Sharp, drums, started ripping through tunes out in the back shack of G’s house in North Hollywood. With fun, anthemic, and original Power-pop tracks that had a sense of romance, humor, and guts, Gary and Tony brought on two more outstanding musicians – Johnny D, guitar, and Dan Cohen, bass - to round out the group and begin production on their debut album, “The Red Pill.â€Candygram For Mongo are now taking their show on the road, first hitting Los Angeles by storm with regular appearances at world famous venues like The Viper Room, The Cat Club, and The House of Blues. The response has been phenomenal! Skratch Magazine writes, “Hooks for days, sugary yet shouted choruses and a versatile knowledge of the rock ‘n roll playbook...set Candygram For Mongo way ahead of the rest of the whiners, poseurs and talentless but popular acts on the scene.†Candygram For Mongo’s song, INTERMISSION, was featured on the hit cable show, “Battlestar Galactica.†They have won the award for “Male Singer/Songwriter of the Year†at the 16th Annual Los Angeles Music Awards.
