Hello all you music fans out there. I'd just like to take the time to say that I think you would really enjoy this album. It is cool as can be and it reminds me of Elvis in the 1970's. If you really want to enjoy listening to some good music, then don't pass up this wonderful album now on sale for $5. 00. Like Elvis use to say, "You're beautiful". I have spent the last 20 years just writing songs and trying to get by. I have had some great times doing it. I want each and every one of you to have some great times too just by purchasing either of my two albums I have for sale here on cdbaby /jeffchandler and cdbaby /jeffchandler2. I am extremely excited about getting some of my songs cut by other artists who have record deals with some of the major record companies. I love music and I can't imagine my life without it. I know you feel the same way I do. I'm trying to write music and songs that make you feel good deep inside. This is my way of trying to help people on a big scale. I have a Bachelor's degree from Mississippi College and an associate's degree from Hinds Communtiy College and I kind of know what I'm talking about when it comes to most anything. You know. Another Place, Another Time It's strange sometimes how things work, as well as work out. But through the years much has been said and written regarding the task of holding together a Bluegrass Band. It does not matter if we are talking a National, Regional or Local talent, this task is very much the same and just like life itself. You do what you have to do to make it all work out while giving it your best efforts. In 1986 The Suggins Brothers began an 20-year run with public performances across numerous cities and counties throughout this great country of ours. Like ever city and venue in which we have ever visited and played, change was found. Ronnie Davis has stepped in and stepped up, Bass in hand and is ready to go. Ronnie originally hails from Jasper, Georgia but for the last 30+ years calls Aiken, South Carolina his home. Ronnie is a rock solid person and a great addition to have playing the bass. Ronnie D. has been playing our kind of bluegrass bass for a long, long time and we are excited and very much looking foreword to the next generation and with Ronnie D. holding that rock solid bass beat. Having the faith to move Mountains is a good thing, but knowing someone who knows someone from the mountain produces Jim Major. Jim is from Manchester, Tennessee and now calls Georgia home. Jim plays multiple styles of Mandolin, sings baritone and aside being a longtime friend of Ronnie D's is the chosen one. Jim is a welcome addition and is without question, he is excited and ready to do his part.The Suggins Brothers are looking forward to 2006 and beyond. We have a new line up, new photographs, new tee shirts and a brand new recording in the works and set to be released in mid 2006 as we hit the ground running. 'Welcome To Wisconsin' Was recorded in Tomahawk Wisconsin. Tomahawk is about 70 miles northeast of my hometown of Edgar Wisconsin. I grew up in Edgar Wisconsin and went away for four years of boarding school at St John's Prep in Collegeville Minnesota. Then I went to Marquette in Milwaukee for four years and got my degree in Psychology. After Marquette I spent two years at Aberdeen Proving Ground Maryland doing psychological research while in The US Army. After the Army I moved back to Edgar Wisconsin and worked as a counselor in a Workshop for the handicapped in Wausau, Wisconsin. I became the Operations manager of that Workshop and then retired in 2005. I have been singing and writing songs for 30 years. I never tried to make my music any more than a hobby. Throw in Junior Torres on harp and the great Doug Meyer on pedal steel you've got yourself a collection of infectious talent. These guys grew up playing backyard campfires and highway reststops. GC Sundown evokes the spirit of the freedom days when passion was honored and individuality celebrated. They delightfully entice you to embark on a lyrical journey of sweet tragedy and beg you to wander through the smooth harmonies of desperate yearning.'The San Diego Troubadour'Listing Neil Young, Willie Nelson, Jerry Garcia, Johnny Cash, and John Prine as influences, one gets a pretty clear picture about what to expect from the boys in Grand Canyon Sundown. Fortunately, they deliver the goods on this collection of mostly acoustic alt-country and folk-rock. The songs ramble along like a ride in the old Chevy I learned to drive on the back roads of Alabama - pretty slow for the most part, with an occasional smooth straightaway where it's cool to step on it a little. As far as instrumentation goes, Grand Canyon Sundown brings out all but the kitchen sink on this one. Acoustic, electric, and bass guitar meet drums, steel guitar, harmonica, fiddle, and mandolin to mingle like old friends with a good bottle, and the songs might well have been born from such a situation. Harmonizing well, almost everyone in the band is listed with vocal credits on their myspace page. With regard to everyone in the band, I suppose it would be rude to continue without proper introduction.
