| | Def Leppard Pyromania CDs (1983) Bonus CD; Remastered; Deluxe Edition; Digipak
Sonic Rebellion CD music
$19.75 Although many music fans were convinced that Def Leppard would become hard rock's next big band, few could have predicted the massive across-the-boards success that its third record, 1983's PYROMANIA, achieved. Many wondered why it was taking the group so long to release a follow-up to 1981's HIGH 'N' DRY, but the finished product was well worth the wait. Not only did it become one of the year's best-selling albums and made the band instant U.S. arena headliners, but it has remained a consistent seller ever since (by 1994, it had reached nine million units in the U.S. alone).
The songwriting and overall sound was more streamlined and succinct this time ...

Sonic Rebellion music CDs
$18.39 ANGELS FALL FIRST is the 1997 debut of female-fronted goth-metal act Nightwish.
When then tiny independent record label Spinefarm decided to take a chance on a brand new group called Nightwish by releasing a modest 500-unit pressing of their first album, Angels Fall First (originally recorded as a simple demo), little did they know this would quickly evolve into their biggest future cash cow, and one of Finland's most successful bands ever! Believe it: such were the humble origins and expectations for both band and album; despite the already quite advanced songwriting abilities of chief architect, keyboardist, and vocalist Tuomas Holopainen, which adorned melodic ...

| | Karyn Whittemore Everything's Changed CD (2007)
Sonic Rebellion CD music
$13.15 Visit www.karynwhittemore.com to listen to the full songs. BIOIn the mountains of Southern Utah against the back drop of "Big Love" where gun wielding survivalists dwell in the red rock desert and new prophets are found on the dusty back roads, singer songwriter Karyn Whittemore has emerged from the desert mountains with a different view. With influences from artists like Kate Bush, Liz Phair, Lou Reed and Sarah McLachlan, Karyn's songs are passionate and sometimes a little quirky with occasional spiritual to mystical overtones. Karyn contrasts her soothing picking style on the acoustic guitar by paying homage to her classical roots on the baby grand. Karyn recounts her story this way, "I think I've always been a performer at heart. As a little girl of age six or seven, I took my clothes off for a group of boys as they stood and watched. I'm standing there. They're standing there looking at me. None of us saying a word, yet a rewarding experience for all involved. All the essential ingredients were present: performer, audience and theatre (dirty garage)." As time passed, Karyn's marketing strategy became more sophisticated as she put her clothes on, picked up the violin, took piano lessons and received a music scholarship (violin) to SUU. She learned to play the acoustic guitar as she became interested in performing live and developed an affinity for producing her own music as she assembled her recording studio and started to record. After her well received debut album "Slippery Road," Karyn has now produced and released, "Everything's changed." Between gigs over the last couple of years Karyn has been busily producing and mixing her second album, arranging and performing on piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass and keyboards while fleshing out her musical vision in her studio. Drummer Carylee Zwang provides a driving beat for the project along with Ruth Tibbitts on the orchestral bass, Tyler Braun on congas, Art Kaufman on guitar, and Ryan Dumlao also on drums. Without their talents, the album wouldn't be what it is. On her debut Album "Slippery Road" Karyn sings with angelic passion against stark, beautiful arrangements and lush harmonies. It has been nominated for "best contemporary album and Song of the year " by Just Plain Folks as well as for "best new upcoming female ...
| | Enthroned Tetra Karcist CD (2007)
Sonic Rebellion music CDs
$13.59 Here we go again -- and we've been going for a decade. Who would have ever considered the day that the extreme nature of Nordic black metal, both musically and lyrically, would become a yawn? Enthroned are warriors of black metal, they have endured so many membership changes (including one suicide) that they're near impossible to count. What's more amazing is that with the exception of one album, ...

| | Sarah Tracey Cards On The Table CD (2009)
Sonic Rebellion CD music
$9.29 With a playful wink and a sultry gaze, the music of Sarah Tracey embodies feminine power at its best. Inspired by film noir and the idea of the femme fatale, Sarah’s music proves that less can be more and sometimes, it’s what goes unsaid that is the most poignant. But, for those who dare to pull back the curtain and look a little deeper, a rich inner life shines through Sarah’s words. Born and raised on Chicago’s North Shore, Sarah Tracey’s passion for music began early in life when she discovered the piano at age four. She counts classical training as instrumental in honing her musicality, but it wasn’t until she began singing soul, jazz, and blues that she felt like she had found her voice. A deep awareness of communicating through her music was nurtured when she began to write her own songs, a decision fervently encouraged by her grandfather, a cellist and Sarah’s musical mentor. “Songwriting is an experiment for me. I don’t censor myself in any way, but I express things with a raised eyebrow. I’ve used a lot of winking metaphors and euphemisms and double-entendres. It’s fun for me to get to explore expression in my own witty, quirky way. It’s my kind of poetry.” But, while prolific in her writing, Sarah Tracey was deliberate when choosing the songs for her latest recording adventure, Cards On The Table. Sarah credits producers Eshy Gazit and Patrick Ermlich of NYC’s Cutting Room Studios for helping her leap to the next musical level. Easily described as a “modern torch singer,” Sarah finds the beauty in both subtlety ...
