| | Crayon Fields Animal Bells CD - Import Crayon Fields Discography of CDs
Geoff O’Connor, lead singer, guitarist and songwriter of Melbourne quartet the Crayon Fields, is a myopic boy genius whose record collection consists almost solely of op-shop vinyl LPs released before 1970. Consequently, the Crayon Fields play intricate, atmospheric pop songs that recall the minor key majesty and close-knit harmonies of 60s maestros such as the Zombies, the Byrds and the Beach Boys. Animal Bells is the Crayon Fields’ debut album, after forming in the last year of high school in 2002 and releasing two previous independent EPs. Animal Bells is an unruffled, dreamy pop masterpiece. Geoff’s often falsetto vocals and ringing 12 string guitar playing are ably accompanied by Brett Hudson’s nimble bass playing, Chris Hung on 2nd guitar and percussion and Neil Erenstrom on drums. Nicole and Julian of fellow Trifekta artists Minimum Chips also provide guest vocals. In recent times, the Crayon Fields have supported many a touring national and international band, including the Unicorns, Dirty Three, Electrelane, Deerhoof, Calvin Johnson, Kelly Stoltz and Architecture in Helsinki to name a few. With Animal Bells, is time for the Crayon Fields to step forward and be counted among Australia’s finest, most intriguing bands. Crayon Fields Animal Bells Songs | 1. | Choir Of Tiny Boys |

Animal Bells
$12.59 Black Eyed Peas, the hip-hop crossover juggernaut that propelled singer Fergie and producer Will.I.Am to superstardom, have, since 2003's ELEPHUNK, been audaciously plugging away at their bombastic but lighthearted style of rap-cum-dance pop--an effort that has translated to a run of successful chart-topping singles including "My Humps," "Pump It," and "Don't Phunk with My Heart." Eager to follow up on the platinum-selling success of 2005's MONKEY BUSINESS, Black Eyed Peas have returned with THE E.N.D. (an acronym for "Energy Never ...
| | Baroness Blue Record CDs (2009) Limited Edition; Deluxe Edition
Animal Bells
$13.58 Georgia-based psychedelic rock band (calling them a metal act seems very reductive, though there's some seriously headbangable material on this disc) Baroness has made a subtle but unmistakable evolutionary leap on this, their second full-length and a clear companion piece to 2007's RED ALBUM. It's hard to say exactly what new guitarist Pete Adams has brought to the band after replacing drummer Allen Blickle's brother Brian, but the band's established blend ...

| | Flight Of The Conchords I Told You I Was Freaky CD (2009) Digipak
Animal Bells
$12.44 After a glorious first season that earned the HBO show six Emmy nominations, Flight of the Conchords' second run didn't quite pack the same comedic punch. Some would say it was because the premise lost its luster, but it was mostly because the music just wasn't as strong. Most of the songs in Season One were pre-written and hashed out over years of stand-up, and for Season Two, Jemaine Clement and Bret McKenzie were in a time crunch: forced to write a dozen or so funny songs and ten episodes from scratch. Considering the circumstances, FOTC's second Sub-Pop outing, I TOLD YOU I WAS FREAKY, has some worthwhile moments. In the R. Kelly-based "We're in Love with a Sexy Lady," Bret and Jemaine debate semantics while trying to determine if they're after the same lazy-eyed girl. "When'd you meet this lady?/Then./When?/Then./Right then?/Right then./Where?/There./Over there?/Over there./Over there there?/Over there there there," and so on, building up to Bret's ultimate question, "Was her name Brabra?" To which Jemaine replies, No I think it was Barbara."..."It ...

| | They Might Be Giants Severe Tire Damage CD (1998)
Animal Bells
$15.05 Since their inception in 1986, They Might Be Giants have been on a mission: to eradicate the self-important, angst-filled, navel-gazing aspects of rock music, and to remind us not to take things quite so seriously. The band pioneered a particular brand of nutty humor fleshed out with quirky, catchy pop-rock that has inspired a whole generation of musicians to write songs that don't necessarily mean anything, and to perform them with a breezy, it's-just-music attitude. Who can resist a song called "Doctor Worm," (one of the few new studio recordings on this mostly live album of mostly old favorites), which asserts "I'm interested in things/I'm not a real doctor, but I am a real worm/I am an actual worm/I live like a worm/I like to play the drums."
