Primarily recorded during Rammstein's 2005 world tour, VOLKERBALL presents the outlandish German industrial-metal band charging through a scorching live set. In addition to successful European singles such as the pummeling "Mein Teil" and the surprisingly melodic, U.S.-skewering "Amerika," the group also performs its sole American hit "Du Hast," making for a concert document that is sure to please Rammstein's devoted international following.
This multi-format audio/visual package documents the November 2004-July 2005 Ramstein tour supporting the Reise, Reise tour that played to one million people across 21 different countries. The set boasts the no-half-measures approach to art that the band's fans have come to expect. Included is footage from Japan, France, England, and Russia. The set includes 2 DVDs and 2 CDs with 140 minutes of live video, 75 minutes of live audio, pus 90 minutes of documentaries showing the musicians at their most candid and relaxed. Also included is a 190 page tour photo-book.

Epic goth metal with some heavy '70s progressive elements (Rick Wakeman-style keyboards, occasional interludes of softer, folk-like melodies, some spoken word passages that sound like the Moody Blues played at 16 rpm -- that sort of thing), the debut album by Sweden's Draconian is much better than many similar albums in this style.
