My best PS
This is about the album in general, not the remaster.
When I first got a cd player many moons ago I wanted to make sure that I only bought albums I wouldn’t get tired of or grow to dislike – as I already had a vinyl junkheap that had cost me. This was the first cd I bought and it was a perfect start, though I’ve accumulated a few dogs since! It’s my favourite PS album eclipsing even the revered Gracelands. His best tunes ever are here; Kodachrome is a bright, brilliant opener and always lifts me, Tenderness, Something So Right and American Tune are very beautiful, sensitive songs, One Man's Ceiling is a lovely light philosophical piece and Loves Me Like a Rock will get the joint jumping– but there’s not a poor track in sight. A timeless masterpiece which I wholeheartedly recommend.

One of the Best!
I initially bought the disc just for the song American Tune, which, if you haven't heard it in a while, is one of the best out there. Kodachrome, another classic, and the rest of the tunes are just gravy. The entire disc is actually a great listen and is well worth the price.

Whaddayaknow?
Who would have thought that Paul could have been so loose and free-wheeling as he is on this album? The songs on here dart all over, and often talk about characters who are free to do whatever they want to do. It is certainly a change from the studio mastery of Simon & Garfunkel, and no other of his albums matched the spirit of this one. "Kodachrome", "Take Me To The Mardi Gras", and "St. Judy's Comet" are all songs that are free, moving and powerful. Paul had more fun on this album than on any other of his albums, and is undoubtedly his most pure and song-focused effort. He made music he enjoyed (or so I would like to think!), and it showed on the record. Nothing else, before or after, could match this record in Paul's catalog.

What A Letdown
This review is basically for all the PS remasters.Poor sound quality. Not really any better than the older cds that have been around for years.Awful digi packs. They coukd have done much more with the cd booklets.Very few photos or additional info. And to top it off ridiculous prices for these new cds.Oh as usual with most bonus tracks all of them are easily forgettable.

An excellent remaster
Of all the Paul Simon albums, I would say this one benifited the most from the remastering. The old CD version of this album was not too great, but this remaster is fantastic. I actually noticed instruments I had never heard before! The sound quality is top-notch and so are the songs. Kodachrome is here of course, as are An American Tune, Loves Me Like A Rock, and one of my personal favorites, One Man's Ceiling Is Another Man's Floor. Even if you already own this album, I recommend buying this version.
