The Cincinnati hardcore metal band's debut album is propelled by stinging guitar riffs and breakneck drumming, and topped off with Joey Nelson's throat shredding vocals. Tight, imaginative arrangements and a knack for carving memorable hooks out of the sonic sludge of tracks like "Being in a Coma Is Hell Carried On," the unstoppable "Our Last Road," and the demonic "7861," lift this Midwest band way above its peers.Kerrang (Magazine) (p.50) - "Well written, well played and plainly above average in most respects..." What Demons Do To Saints Music Beneath The Sky What Demons Do To Saints Songs What Demons Do To Saints Music Review Average Rating: (2.5 out of 5 stars) Evil screaming is no good
Metal is good to listen to but what's with the screaming? It's sounds horrible and I don't think the Lord wants us to listen to singing like that. It sounds evil.... Submitted by dwinter (Temecula, CA) Was This Review Helpful? Yes No
A band worth listening As soon as it reaches its climax "7861", you gotta turn to track 8. Those killer vocals on one side have got to be the best I've heard of since. But the clean, in my mind, has been heard so many times before. Still, a band worth listening to and for the future, still worth looking back to for reference. What Demons Do To Saints
$11.65 EVERCLEAR, AMC's finest hour and one the '90s' most powerful albums, is simultaneously lush and searing, heartache and despair borne out in elegant arrangements that combine fragile prettiness and soul-baring howls of pain. Multi-instrumentalist Bruce Kaphan rose to the occasion of his production debut. The canyons of reverb on the instruments are strangely appropriate, highlighting the almost decadent, tragically beautiful feel ...

What Demons Do To Saints
$22.85 BiographyMindgames is a rockband from Belgium playing (progressive) rock. The band was founded in 1997 by Eric Vandormael (exit 2006) and Bart Schram. For almost a year and a half the band consisted of four members. In 1999 they recorded a demo, featuring the songs Mental Argue, Signs From The Sky, and Dreamin’ The Circus. In 2000 Rudy Vander Veken joined, so completing the line-up of the band. At the end of 2002 they released their debut CD International Daylight. On the album you can hear that the band is mostly influenced by Yes, Jethro Tull, Genesis and Frank Zappa. Later on, International Daylight was distributed by the French label Musearecords. Thanks to this the band received favourable reviews from all over the world. After a few gigs, they manage to build up a strong live reputation. The year 2005 is totally taken up by the composition of new songs. At the beginning of 2006 Mindgames released their second album Actors In A Play, produced by Frank Van Bogaert. The concept album is a six-act story, focusing on each of the actors in turn, and finally coming to the inevitable conclusion that the world is just one giant play. Now M!ndgames is working on their third album: more dynamics, more power, more energy... Something to look forward to. We'll keep you posted.Reviews on Actors In A PlayA fine album is not how I should discribe their second release. A real masterpiece is a better way to tell how I think about this superb album. They made the best progressive rock possible. Thanks to this great product I can say without any doubt that M!ndgames are the best prog band from Belgium at the moment. - Background Magazine. This record blows anything I have heard from Belgium the past few years. It’s quite stunning to see that this is just an independent release, because it definitely has all the ingredients ...
| | Liar's Rosebush Thank-You Machines! CD (2009)
What Demons Do To Saints
$15.19 In 1995, at the age of twelve, Matt Rosen made his first recording with Radio Shack microphones and MOD trackers. Tired of the music he was hearing in his arts-school orchestra, Matt turned his ears to stranger sounds. Zippers zipping and denim ripping became ridiculous rhythmic patterns. Corrupt audio files turned into makeshift melodies. By his 18th birthday, Matt had saved up enough pennies to get some turntables and a sampler, and a local club promoter decided to sneak this underage kid in to play some gigs.In the decade since, under a variety of names, Matt has played shows across Ontario, Quebec, and the north-eastern United States. His 2002 liar’s rosebush demo caught the attention of Immanence Records owner Dave Dando-Moore (better known as Ad Noiseam artist Detritus). Dave took a chance on Matt’s fusion of breakbeats, noise, and grooves, ...
