The duo has been featured on numerous reggaeton compilations, including EL DRAFT 2005, and they also gained attention (and favor with female fans) with their sexy video for "Tu No Estas." | | Daddy Yankee El Cartel: The Big Boss CD (2007)
Masterpiece album
$12.45 When 2004's BARRIO FINO became one of reggaeton's best selling albums, and one of the genre's defining documents, Daddy Yankee was elevated to iconic status. That status was helped by the release of BARRIO FINO EN DIRECTO, a set of live recordings, videos, and new singles released in 2005, but fans had to wait until 2007 for a new studio album. That wait was rewarded with EL CARTEL: THE BIG BOSS, a collection that arguably tops the now-classic BARRIO FINO in ambition and appeal.
At 80 minutes and 21 tracks, EL CARTEL is a sprawling achievement, offering up no shortage of skittering, head-nodding beats, lightning-quick rhymes, and colorful, genre-twisting samples. The album features numerous collaborations with U.S. pop ...

| | Liz Mandville Greeson Ready To Cheat CD (1999)
Masterpiece music CDs
$12.55 Greeson's sophomore project for Earwig is a hot item. Greeson wrote every song on the album -- an extremely unusual accomplishment for a female blues singer -- and the material gives her the opportunity to showcase her stylistic range. Greeson fits right into the time-honored blues tradition of sultry women singing sexually charged tunes with a great deal of feeling. Her music is the hard stuff: late-night, roadhouse blues for adults. She can burn down a slow blues like "Those Kisses" with the same moxie as she belts out a hard-hitting Chicago blues tune like "Quit Doggin." Greeson has also written a very effective topical piece, "Walking on Eggshells," which addresses the touchy issue of spousal abuse. Her performance on "Reefer Woman" is a languid bit of naughtiness that is one of the highlights of the CD, as is her clever double-entendre tune "He Left It in His Other Pants." Greeson is a notable blues singer and a veteran of the Chicago club scene. This release has everything it takes to carry her reputation far beyond the Windy City. ~ Philip Van Vleck
Ready to Cheat is a dark, sexy, dangerous blend of Chicago blues and Memphis soul, spun from the pen of Chicago blues diva Liz Mandville Greeson. Winding her steely, muscular four-octave voice around her new original songs, Liz delivers sassy, soul-drenched blues for the new millennium. Liz is an accomplished Chicago-based songwriter, singer and performer who has received enthusiastic acclaim not only from audiences in the Chicago blues club scene, where she appears regularly, but also from her appearances in national and international tours. Listen to her lively , lusty views of life, love, and sex on this album, her second Earwig recording. The album features the Chicago Fire Horns, Bruce Thompson and the Black Roses on background vocals, and some of the finest Chicago session men in the business."Her record shows charisma, vocal superiority and some clever, sexy lyrics done up well with fine arrangements and backing band." -Grapevine Press"... Greeson is ready to go nationwide with this well-crafted disc of originals that covers everything from raw, gritty blues soul to swinging cabaret style numbers ... Greeson isn't afraid to play with raw emotion. You'll be cheating yourself big time if you skip this release." -West Michigan Blues Society Liz Mandville Greeson spent the late 1980s running up and down the road with her R&B band the Supernaturals. She played thousands of gigs, from smoky biker bars to swanky theatres, casinos to yacht clubs, honing her musical chops and crowd-pleasing skills. In 1994, a chance meeting with bassist Aron Burton led to Liz' subsequent performance with him at the 1994 Chicago Blues fest, two tracks on his 1996 Earwig release, "Aron Burton Live", and a long-standing performing relationship. "Live" also marked Liz's recording debut and the beginning of her professional association with Earwig Music Company. Liz holds the distinction of being the only white vocalist to perform regularly at the internationally known Blue Chicago nightclubs, where she held court from 1994 to 1999. Backed by former Junior Wells bandleader George Baze, ...
