$11.45 AVOIDANCE OFDOUBTFirstly thanks for taking an interest in Avoidance of Doubt. We are creating quite a buzz in the Industry at the moment and hopefully this will give you further information on the band and our career so far.To give you some background information, AOD released their first album 'Science of the Mind' via a small independent label; Tomcat Records in 2004. Now, we have a new set, new material and a new EP released April 22nd 2006. The band are receiving an immense amount of interest from within the industry and from a large number of labels and promoters etc. That's before you even take a look at AOD's awesome stage show. 'Through my Eyes' also features Emilie Autumn who has played with Billy Corgan and Courtney Love, Emilie is also causing quite a stir in the USA with her own solo work. ON TOURThe band has just completed its second headline tour of 30 dates across the UK following on from our first highly successful tour early in 2005. On the most recent 'Salvation Tour' AOD also had support dates with UltraViolence and VNV Nation (at the bands' request). We hope to tour again later in 2006 along with some possible German dates and we are also in discussion re: a tour of Portugal, Spain and other European territories. | | Potnus Is Bill Shakes A Janitor CD (2007)
Baketown Swingin album
$12.65 Normally, all that emerges from a freestyle battle is one winner and a bunch of losers. Now imagine a battle featuring both Bill E. Shakes, a.k.a. Hazm@, and Mr. Moser, a.k.a. ProZach. Both known for their wit, hustle, and flow, the two rivals were now pitted against each other on a local college campus. Shakes and Moser were like two UFC gladiators, foaming at the mouth in anticipation of the bell. The DJ dropped it, and the rest is history. Spectators that night did not see a winner and a loser. Instead, they witnessed the first live performance from what would become Potnus, one of hip-hop's most talented up-and-coming independent acts. Within a week, the two had an energetic and entertaining 20-minute set. They had penned and produced '503 Ohh', the first single off their debut album, 'Join the Club', which was released in July, 2001. When asked what it was like to start as a hype man, Moser replied, 'I just wanted in and this seemed like an opportunity to creep my toes through the back door." He knew that all he wanted to do was rap, as he had always "loved every aspect of hip-hop culture." However, up to that point, he never had the means to record. He realized that "it's easy to get respect on your block if you have skills, but that block is as far as the respect goes...and this seemed like a stepping stone towards a much bigger rock.' ...
| | Shan-Shan Blow Ur Mind CD (2007)
Baketown Swingin CD music
$9.59 An artist emerging from the misunderstood streets of Sacramento, California is the female lyricist rated next. Her name is Shan Shan and she's ready to make a bold statement while climbing her way up to the top in this music industry. The music genre she hails from is hip hop and has been rapping and performing for sixteen years. Her career started off at the young, tender age of twelve where she was asked to assist in a skit for what is known as Vacation Bible School. Her friends caught a whiff of the fire and suggested that she step in the front and lead them. After that display of raw talent, her mother called up a friend which resulted in her first studio session. Some of her most prestigious acts were revealed for venues such as bay area church conventions, outdoor celebrations such as Juneteenth and gospel concerts held at the Crest Theatre and UC Davis. It wasn't until nine years ago that Shan Shan realized she needed to step her music career up a notch. She wasn't getting the exposure she wished for so she chose to go down the rocky road of secular music to gain a broader audience. In the year of 1998, she linked up with the Carter brothers who are known for earlier hits such as 'Gangsta Lean' from DRS and recent hits 'Ghetto Romeo' and 'Kiss You' from the R&B artist GR. They helped to improve her skills by 'studio grooming' her, teaching her the basics of recording a hot track that includes learning how to do doubles, adlibs and bring out her character as a whole. Since then she has been compared to the likes of her mentor MC Lyte having an eruptive and demanding delivery complemented by ferocious flows with a commanding presence while on stage. She's a portrait of raw energy and anyone who gets a glimpe of her live and in color on stage will be highly impressed and in shock. She's an authentic and genuine artist equipped ...
