The 2007 release by Dying Fetus, War of Attrition continues on the same extreme metal path they've been following throughout their career. In other words, it's loaded front to back with growled vocals, indecipherable lyrics (but it's a safe bet that they're quite grisly), metronome-precise drumming, and non-stop thrash riffing. Although just two releases removed from a complete lineup overhaul -- save for mainstay John Gallagher (vocals, guitar) -- Dying Fetus still manage to sound like a finely tuned metallic machine throughout. So much so that at certain points, it sounds like machines are covering for human musicians -- especially on such tracks as "Fate of the Condemned" and "Insidious Repression." Death metal played with the utmost precision is a fitting summary of Dying Fetus' sixth release overall. ~ Greg Prato

Just picked this one up today and god how it blew my mind!!!! Defintly Dying Fetus' best work with songs like Homicidal Retribution that make my day!!! defintly a must buy for all you fetus fans and for death metal fans in general, Must BUY!!! Pick it up now!

Dying Fetus never let me down,this release was everything i hoped it would be,8 songs of pure death metal brutality,keeping the topics based on the war.I don't know why no one has left a review for this yet.BUY THIS ALBUM!

This cd is a must have,I own all of the groups albums and they somehow keep getting more brutal.Sick guitar work and drums and killer breakdowns.By this cd or die1

Death Metal at it's best!
Best Dying Fetus cd since there earlier releases. Songs Like Unadultered Hatred don't get any better. These guys still have it! HAIL DYING FETUS

Mike Ladd has been a strong presence in central Massachusetts for almost thirty years. His completely original style of writing and performing at times defies description, leaving audiences captivated.
